There are several places that you can launch from. The closest place for you to launch would be on Rt 18 near Middlebourne. It's 25 miles from here to 5 Points in a straight shot but it's really good trails in getting there. Problem is if you don't know where you're going it's hard to tell where you'll end up. To get to 5 Points by road would require more driving time but would put you in the heart of the riding when you got there. So take Rt 50 East to Clarksburg, then turn left onto Rt 19 North to Shinnston, then turn left on to Rt 20 North until you reach Wallace WV. I do not think I can give you great directions from here on though. Once you reach Wallace you are within 6 miles of 5 Points. Once you reach Wallace, make a left onto Tenmile Road, go about 2 miles and make a right onto Rhinehart Run Rd. Stay on this road all the way to 5 Points about 3 to 4 miles. You will cross the railroad tracks twice, then the road will go from pavement to dirt, you will start up hill about the same time the road turns to dirt. When you get to the top of the hill you are there. 5 Points are just 5 roads that come together in one spot, and Rhinehart Run Rd is one of the 5. There will be several widespots to park on top the hill. When you get to the 5 way intersection turn right to get to the best trails. Do not,,, I repeat Do Not take your vechicle on the road to the right when you get to the 5 Points intersection, just your machine. They have been drilling back in there, so the road may be in great shape, it used to be terrible, I just don't know because I haven't been riding much at all. I hope this helps. If you need any more info let me know. In all honesty you really need a guide the first trip out or so. Ole Jimbob is a hell of a guide, it's time he learns his way around over there without following me.

| Is the hub in the middle considered 5 Points? I work in Clarksburg so am pretty familiar with Wallace, Folsom & Smithfield areas, just haven't ever been to this spot. Trying to find some places more local than Hatfield McCoy or Kitzmiller, MD for single day rides. | |

| I didn't realize 5 points was that close to Wallace. I have relatives in Wallace I have not see for 30 years. Might have to take a trip! |

| If we have never been to Five Points to ride, are there directions for various trails somewhere or are they get with someone to show you which way to go? Thanks for the info. We are always looking for somewhere else to ride. | |

I'm in the same boat. I plan to take a GPS and just go explore.

Yes this is the 5 Points intersection. To access the most trails you need to go on CO Rd 20/5 and then go on what the map shows as Slabcamp Rd, it is actually Arches Fork Rd but that's not really important. Don't be afraid to ride anything that even looks like a trail and just go explore. There are hundreds of miles of trails but finding some of them on your own will not be easy. The first time I went to the Wagon Wheel to ride I spent 3 days and only found about 50 miles of trails guiding myself. The next time I went Bobby was in the lead and we had missed so many great trails it wasn't funny, but I still had a great time just exploring. I probably won't get to ride much until January. I may have a ride there after the first of the year.
