| There is a couple of us getting together for a ride the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) for a one day ride. We will leave at about 10am and ride until after dark. We will depart from our farm near Lewisburg, WV and ride into the cold knob area of Greenbrier county. This trail will not cross any paved roads and there will be no gas stations near us so you will have to bring your own gas. it will be about a 100 mile trip or so. the trails are a mixture of very tight and pretty rough ATV paths, and some old run down logging roads, there are a few areas of fast smooth gravel roads to reach top speed (60 + MPH), there is plenty of mud if you want to go through it and will possibly be some snow on top of the mountain. We will drive through a new wind mill project where they are building 400' windmills, we will also drive by a beautiful mountain lake, and several scenic cliffs. bring a lunch, warm clothes, and extra gas. I would like to get several people together for this trip if possibe. Contact me at loganhauskennels@gmail.com if you are interested. | |

| Sounds like a fun trip. What about some sort of map to this location or a GPS point. |

| If I wasn't going to hunt, I would be in on this for sure. I was up there at the windmills last weekend, and ended up down next to Williamsburg. Those windmills are not far from my house. Pretty cool to look at if you've never seen em' before. | |

Yeah, there are several of those windmills close to my house as well. I ride over toward Richwood a lot. Let me know the next time you are riding up that way.

Is there any primitive camping in the area? There are plenty of place to pitch a tent and build a fire, no problem.

| Sounds like I don't know if I care about doing 100 miles as there was a time I was riding 100 + miles every time I rode so I guess I got tired of it I thought I heard that Cold Knob was going to be off limits soon or maybe that was Garden Grounds | |

| Well the start time was delayed a couple hours, but we still took the planned ride, only we could go just 60 miles because we ran out of daylight. We went to the top of the mountain where it was about 20 degrees and about 4-5 inches of snow, with a very high wind......that sucked!! But overall it was a great ride, no problems form any of the machines, and no accidents. Note to self.......stay off the top mountain this time of the year unless you have a heater. | |

| Did anyone one from WVSXSRIDERS join you? About Garden Grounds (in Raliegh County, WV). There was alot of riding in that area years ago. The land has been chopped up & sold in bits & pcs. through the years. Boy Scotts Of America just bought 10,000 acres so there go a good bit more of the land. | |

There were only 2 RZR S's (My wife and I took one, and I let a friend of mine with his wife take my other one) there were a couple other poor soles on ATVs that nearly froze to death! LOL. Sorry guys, but we did not get any pictures. I prefer to ride fast and never stop, I just burn the memories in my head and keep on going. LOL
