| Well it isn't a twin, and it isn't a sport model. BUT, I think I like what I have seen thus far. It will be interesting how it sizes up to the others in the same price range and not being a sport model...MD | |

| Just from the little bit of YouTube video I seen of it I am kinda diggin it.... I know the ole whiny-ro's didn't have the most power in the world but they some how held their own in the woods... I will be interested to see more on this thing... And prices look to be a lil more reasonable than most of what's out there... I think I seen 12xxx for base and 13xxx for power steering and what not | |

| Engine size doesn't always matter. Look at a Rhino that James has worked on. Now, remember the rzr 570? "It's not big enough" "It will never run with the 800" and on and on. It is right there with the long in the tooth 800 engine.
It's hard to beat technology. This new Yamaha doesn't have that same ole 686. This is a dual overhead cam 708. I bet it breathes really well and revs hard. 10" of travel with a good set of shocks on this size machine will hold it's own against anything in the woods.
If I didn't just have James build me a new motor, I would be trading for one of these. Another big plus is the fact that if it's not quite there on power, James will have a major fix for that real soon.

| I'm kinda liking this ride. Put a set of tires & wheels on it & lets go. Will be looking at one when they hit the dealers. | |

| Reading this write up a little closer and reviewing the marketing photos a little closer, tells me that the sxs riders have just been introduced to the most "sporty utility" sxs as of yet. Something kept bringing me back to why the seat seemed somewhat lower in the cab than most other utility models. The new front end has a very sporty look and function about it. If it is going to be a true utility, there would be more hunting and mending fences on the farm/ranch photos. I guess time will tell as Ray said, when there are some on the trails for the real-life riding reviews. Just my humble observations so far...MD

| It isn't the high performance thing that everyone wanted. But it just might take some teryx and ranger xp buyers. It isn't for me but maybe I am not who there were going after. I guess we will see if it sells.
HOWEVER THAT NAME JUST SCREAMS FAST AND THE FURIOUS RICER FROM A DECADE AGO.
That name irks me to no end and has to go.

| I'm still trying to figure out why people say this is not a "sport" machine. It has decent travel, compact bodywork, looks to corner really flat in the videos, and has a high tech high brand new engine. Also, gone is the heavy dump bed. Now it's just a piece of plastic to put stuff in. Sure, no matter how much power it has, we will want more, but I think this thing is gonna straight rape most machines already out there when they try to keep up on the trails. | |

| Your right Hump...it's a heck of a trail machine. It's perfect for what we do. I think everyone had their heart set on Yamaha building something to compare to the RZR 1000 and the Canned ham Mavericks. Yamaha is very capable of building something over the top of the other machines if they would just do it.
I still think they will release something to compete in the very near future. When that happens, there will be a bunch of machines for sale.

| Most of the videos I've seen that's exactly where they advertised it. In the woods. Not on the dunes. A lot of horsepower is nullified on narrow trails and curves. | |

| Dimensionally it seems big, but on video and in photos it doesn't seem big. Can't wait to look at one in person. | |

Yeah, it is almost the same size as the Teryx. But about 200 pounds lighter.

Yeah, it is almost the same size as the Teryx. But about 200 pounds lighter. and a smaller engine. I want to see some specs and cutaway shots of that engine

| I have seen 3 videos and that is all I need to see. This sport model with a storage bed is what I will be looking for when I decide to get something different. Timmi, that trail hugger is what we need and that larger storage in the back for all that crap we like to tote around with us. Watching that thing crawl across those rocks, crossing the logs, coming out of the ravines, and shooting back down out of site is as motivational as I need. There was a shot with the sun behind it and all that was seen was the dark silhouette and there was no blocked off high-top utility, rather a rounded off air-dynamic machine...I guess time will tell...MD | |

| Some are dissing this model and calling it a re hashed Rhino. The engine and suspension are all new. This is a purpose built machine. As you said previously, all the promos show it out in the woods, not on the farm. It is purposely not built with 120 hp and 18 inches suspension travel. For what it is intended that isn't needed. I think this model will sell well for Yamaha. | |
