| What is the wagon wheel area like in late January? I would like to ride in some snow but not to the point I spend all day getting stuck in 3 ft of snow. Would an area like rockhouse be better? | |

Would an area like rockhouse be better? We rarely get 3 feet of snow ... last winter was the exception. We have a blast riding in the snow, we'll be riding some then.

| Cool. I have stayed at Ashland with my toyhualer a cpuple of times but will probably just rent a cabin on this trip. I know Jerry at riders Paradise has some rentals. Any other recomendation closer to the outlaw trails. It will be 4-6 guys, Need shower and preferably enough room to play cards around the table at night. Thx! | |

| We have never stayed at Rider's ... we love what Ashland has to offer. But it's not as close to the outlaw trails. Pinnacle Creek ... Bubba's 2nd home ... has "bunkhouses" aka trailers and campers, we've never stayed in one of those but the shower house/bathrooms are always clean and they have great food at the little diner there ... we eat there every time we go. | |

Thx! We stayed at Riders Paradise this past weekend! My wife,me,Rayray, and his wife stayed in Bears den cabin. Our friends stayed in the Ginger Bread House..... I would recommend that you stay in the Ginger Bread House if you stay at Jerry's. It will sleep around 8-9 people not to mention it's alot nicer!!

| Ok, we are for sure going on Jan. 28- Jan.30. The only debate is Wagon wheel area OR rid HM at Rockhouse. I have never been to Rockhouse or that area so it would be nice to see, and three of the people coming with us have 2wd sport atvs so it might be easier for them then the wagon wheel area. I will be in the Ranger 400 and the other guy will have a Renegade, so we can unstuck ourselves or others if need be. Any thoughts? | |

I have only been to Rock House one time back in 2004 and I like Wagon Wheel area much better.Just stay at Ashland Resort and ride Indian Ridge & Pinnacle Creek system and you still have the Wagon Wheel area with hundreds of miles of trails that are FREE but unmarked.I started out riding a Bayou 300 2wd quad at the Wagon Wheel and never had any problems

| Ashland , and ride IR and pinnicale creek I thik would be your best bet ! the connector that conects the two systems is open ,rockhouse is fun but it is rocky ! if you need a cabin checkout Twinhollow camp ground in Gilbert just stay off his grass or Livingood lodging in gilbert both are very clean and they are very nice and nice people too ! just ride safe | |

| The group voted Rockhouse. Main selling point is 3 of us have never been there. So it will be different. We are staying at the Rockhouse lodge. $100.00 a night and that includes 9 beds, 2 baths and 2 kitchen area''s. Next trip is going to be to Ashland. I have camped from Maine to Alabama and never been to a CG with cleaner facility's. Super friendly staff also, no BS about checking in earlier, or leaving your camper there while you ride on Sunday after checkout time. I am looking to plan the next trip for April-May. Not sure if I can make the spring ride yet or vacation is by senoirty and that doesn't come out until 2/10/11. I really want to make it as it seems a good pace/time for me and the wife and kid. | |
