| Can any one give me any information on riding in the arear around "Pinch"? Sort of N.E of Charlston. Some one said there is a large area to ride there. How are the trails? Ok for a UTV? Any place to park? Any other UTV'rs there? If you want, send me a private e-mail. Any information appreciated. | |

| Hello all, first post! There's TONS of riding in the Pinch area. A few miles past Pinch, there's a place called Sanderson...BIG wide area there, and, that's usually where a lot of people park and unload. If you go without anyone that knows the area...I would take a gps, or at least a can of marking paint!! There are SOOO many intersections, that after "recycling" a few aluminum cans, I even get turned around from time to time. You may wann tote some extra gas as well...you're pretty much in the middle of now where when you get there! | |

| If you look at a map you can ride just about everything north of the Kanawha river from pinch to summersville. This covers Sanderson , campbells creek, witcher creek, kelly's creek and so on. That's where I usually ride. Anytime you want to go let me know. | |

I think someone gave me the wrong map to make sure I stay behind!!...hell, I even manage to follow the wrong people!! lol Most of the riding is abandoned roads...there are some pretty good trails though...most of it IS mapped in the WV atlas; but , some of the "newer" stuff isn't shown in mine.

| Does any one have a map? I understand that alot of these trails are just abandoned roads. Which would be fine with me. Do you need a W.V sticker and helment? We went to Ashland year before last. This area would be at least 100 miles closer. Do you have to get permission or permit? I looked on the W.V state map and they dont show any of these roads or give any numbers. My wife was born at Maysel W.V (thats her name too "Maysel". I kid her because she came from a large family and she was the last one born and I tell her by the tilme she come along they run out of names and her mom was so worn out that they just named her Maysel.) It's not on the map either. Its so small you cant get there from here. | |

| Been there a few times but not enough to know my way around. You can go forever. It's as fast or rough as you want it to be. | |

I picked up a WV atlas a few years back...like CommAndrew said; a lot of that area is in there...as long as you know where you started from, you can pretty much figure out all the "squiggly" lines and where they go. Mine is close to 10yrs old...a new one probably shows even more. Shoot me an emai @ scttpickens@yahoo.com , I'll help ya out all I can!
