| Hey, this is my first time coming to ride in WV and I am really excited about it. We will be staying at Ashland campgrounds and I have read that the trails are near. But how do I actually get to the trails that require no permits? Will I have to go via HM trails to get to these trails? I am not familiar with the area at all so simple clear directions would be easiest. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. I will be there 16th-19th of Feb if anyone is going to be that way and wants to show some folks from South Carolina some good trails. | |

| x2 You don't want to venture out on the outlaw trails by yourself or without knowing your way around them. Haven't you ever seen the movie WRONG TURN | |

| I've been on them a few times with Bubba53 and some others and I have learned that it takes long time knowledge to drive around them trails without getting lost. I personally wouldn't do it by myself. Maybe an out and back, same trail. If you insist then get a gps. It may help or it may not. Check out the post in GPS & Gadgets talk marked H/M trails and some outlaw trails on gps. A good starting point would be Pinnacle Creek campground which is up the mountain from Ashland. The safest thing would be to go ahead and do H/M. Plenty of riding there or try to hook up with Bubba. | |

| hey phifer45 Carolina Adventure World is a must visit. Its an ATV park off of I-77 North about 45 miles out. About 100 miles of trails, and some are very tough. Its a great set up. I plan on going next saturday for the poker run | |

| Ill be in a green Rhino with a cooler strapped to the bed. Ill keep an eye out for you. I usually park in the front lot. Try out Mammoth Hill if you get a chance, walk it first. | |
