| Subject: Northern WV areas??? February 6th 2012, 2:28 pm | |
| Hey guys, Living in eastern PA makes the WV WV trails like HM tough to get to as often as I would like. They are 8-10 hours away depending on which one. Are there any trail systems similar to HM that are large enough for a few solid days of SXS riding and has places to stay near by etc etc up in northern WV preferable NE WV? Any recomendations would be great. Thanks! | |

| That sounds great. Thanks from a fellow Teryx rider with Pitbulls :-) I have tried looking up ritchie mines in the past and there is not a lot about it with regards to ATV / SXS riding. I am assuming it is in the Ritchie Mines wildlife management area?? Looks like 6-7 hrs away. Still a good drive but much better the 9-10 that's for sure. Are there cabins in the area where you can stay and ride right from the cabins? I am looking to get down that way at some point in the spring so I will try to get in touch with you guys. Thanks! | |

| 5 Points is nice and really big. Enough trails to last you a month, however it's not marked or anything like Hatfield. Places to stay are very slim. One of them you can try is Camp Copperhead near Middlebourne WV. They don't have any cabins, however they do rent out several campers, one is a really nice 30 foot motorhome. The lady at the campground can help get you started on the trails. You can leave right from the camp on your utv, the trails start right at the camp. I will tell you it's better to go with a guide because the trails are broken up a little in that area. They get much more abundant as you get closer to 5 Points which is about 25 miles away. There is one other campground that I know of. It's called Ashley campground. It's a little smaller but much nicer. I have no idea if they rent out any campers or cabins though. Also it's a little harder to access the trails from Ashley. I hope this helps, if you need any more info you can PM me.
