I saw this watching Extreme 4X4 today. I saw it being pulled by a modified Cherokee. I thought it was pretty cool, but building on experience from when I was younger, I don't like my "way home" left broken on the trail. I was thinking that something "like" this could be towed down the trail by a SXS though. I think this unit is a little heavy for a SxS. I do remember a survey Yamaha sent me on their next generation probably 4 years ago with a SxS prototype that converted into a camper that was pretty cool. They also had a 4 seater picture, before any RZR4 hit the market that was pulling a small pop up style trailer. Pretty cool concepts. Anyway, here is the link:

They were doing some pretty serious wheeling with this thing in tow. Pretty cool little trailer. I have no idea what the cost is.
Neuromax, Punder and I did a camp on the trail trip last spring and are planning a couple more this year. We'll be doing a tent or hammock camping though. Anyway, thought this was worth mentioning.

For some reason the entire link doesn't seem to be hot linking so you'll probably have to copy and paste. This forum plays hell with my computer.

Thats pretty cool there but with all the equipment on board it would be heavy to pull behind a SXS. The Kabota would probly pull it but who knows.

I didn't watch your video because I saw that episode. Funny though! And yes, I thought the same thing except how those all crumpled under duress.

Yes, I said as much in the orignal post. There would have to be one engineered completely for a SxS like the one I mentioned I saw in the Yamaha survey which was a concept. I like the idea of a SxS trailerable camping unit.
This one has a lot of features, but looks way to too heavy.....water tanks etc. Could be potentially a big hit for the Jeep guys though.

Basically I was just throwing out ideas that I thought were pretty neat. Would be cool if someone did actually have a atv/sxs trailerable camper. I don't think I've ever seen one.
Well, let me look a little more....
Ok, found this site: http://www.campingatv.com/
This trailer for hauling gear: http://www.campingatv.com/home/store/atv-accessories/atv-backpacker-trailer/
Found this camper: http://www.littlecamper.com/
And this one: http://www.atvcampers.net/

This one reminds me of the first one....the jeep trailer. Pretty cool. Looks like it would be nice for a remote hunter.

The link below will take you to an amazing story/blog of a couple of Canadians that rode ATV's from Canada to Mexico. They pulled a trailer the entire distance and in some of the pictures and stories they go into detail of the trailer. Several of us followed them daily a few years ago when the made the trip. The link at the bottom under Getting Ready - Dec 3rd shows the trailer pretty well.

Oh cool! Thanks Bob, I'll check it out. Did this get posted on the TTB site?.....oh wait, we didn't have a site over there until 2008. I guess not.
