PostSubject: Hello from Lynchburg Va   July 15th 2009, 2:11 am

Hi fellas. I just picked up my 09 Mossy Oak RZR last Monday and I must say it lives up to the hype. I've been riding up in WV for the last 3 years. Mostly at the Wagon Wheel trails, Indian Ridge and Pinnacle Creek (HMT). And yes I've seen you guys riding around up there.I have a little old camper I keep up at Hilltop Escape and yes I know there's a few of you on here that hate that place, especially the showers. But to me, its just a place to stay. Anyway I've been a die hard atv enthusiast for the last 5 to 6 years. My wife and I both have Polaris Sportsmans. I have a 06 500efi and she has 08 400HO. Just a few months ago, the idea of getting a RZR had not even crossed my mind. But my wife really liked it after test riding one and she wanted to ride together. So we saved up some money to put a good down payment on one and now we're the proud owners of one. We took it out last weekend to Wagon/ HMT and rode about 150 miles. We wanted to ride more, but the front end started clicking every time I would turn right and kept getting louder as the day went on. So I'm taking it back to the dealer to get it looked at . This sounds like a pretty common problem with the RZRs (washer and castle nut on the hubs)
Heres the list of accessories I've bought for it: Sport roof, tinted half windshield, rock-slider nerfs, aluminum A-arm guards, Two Brothers M-7 slip on exhaust, 26" Big Horn 2.0s on 14" ITP SS212s, Lock n Ride cargo box, aluminum skid plate. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of bumpers to get.
Well I've said enough. This is a cool website and I'll be buggin you guys with a bunch of maintenance questions and comments after I learn more about the RZR.
Thanx hey

Hey man, I was wondering. Did you have the washers put on both hubs or on just the side that was clicking. I'd rather just go out and buy the washers and do it myself, but I guess I'll get the dealer to do it since its under warranty. I just really hate fooling with dealers.

Ignore that clicking and come on up to Hilltop. I'll be there this weekend and will head down to Ashland Resort to meet everyone else.

That clicking is a Polaris thing. Just consider it music and roll on! I put 800+ miles on a Rzr in Utah last year and it clicked when we rented it and it clicked when we turned it in. That Rzr had 3700 miles and clicked every one of those miles!

Roger and Carol are good people and they have been good to me. There little restaurant business has been very slow this year. This past July 4th was one of the slowest they've ever had, which is a little unusual for a holiday. Last year it was the gas prices. Now this year it's because of the coward we have sitting in the White House.

Man I don't think my clicking noise is normal. Mine sometimes sounds like a binding up or grinding noise at times. I'm hoping it's just the little washer problem and not a CV joint or wheel bearing. I've owned 4 Polaris atvs and never had one make that kind of racket. scratch

You clicking man be different. I know of 2 Rzr's that went in the shop for the clicking and both were told it's normal. The last went into Carolina Polaris 6 months ago. The other was the one in Utah. Both sound like the wheel is gonna bind and lock-up occassionally.

Roger and Carol do have less business. I like it up there but they do need to keep their facilities in better shape. It's not an issue to me since "The Chateau" has a shower and I do not use the Hilltop shower.

My trailer is on the road past the restaurant -- it's the tan Chateau beside the road. Which one is your trailer? You say little so it makes me think of the one by the swings.

Ignore my first line in the last post -- It should have been "Your clicking may be different". I'd edit it but the edit button is not showing for some reason...

I have the little pop up camper thats beside the black toy hauler camper. You can't see it from the restaurant because the other campers hide it. Theres a bunch called the Triad trailblazers from NC that are kind of next to me. I try to ride at least 1 to 2 times a month. I'll probably take my 4 wheelers up the next time because they have not been ridden in a while. I'll take the RZR back probably in early Aug.
Yes you are right about the facilities up at Carols. They do need to kind of "clean it up" a little. Their showers need an overhaul to say the least. It does not bother me because I stayed in a lot worse places when I was in the Air Force. Plus I'm dirty anyways after ridding all day long. I don't mind living like a dirty ole bum a few weekends out of the month. Thats what makes it fun!
