but anyway lets here some ideas !!!
hope this is OK Bobby ! | |

| I'm game for it. I still think we need to do groups so we can get more riding in. A fast group, a medium paced group, a slow group, and a rhino group. |

| if i ride a teryx does that automatically make me qualify for the slow group? i kept up with hot rod and lilly when i was at sophia (and by keep up i mean i was able to follow the dust trail slightly and keep in the correct direction) so does that mean i could hang with the medium group? certainly cant handle high speed LOL as far as cans if someone wants em i always throw the empties back in the cooler and pitch em after the ride. | |

| Chop,
Here was my thinking over the past few months. I was going to bring it up in a month or two. Now this is just a thought. Bobby D would need to sign off on it and I want it to be what he would like.
Friday and Saturday............ H/M for the charity. Three lines........One fast paced, One medium paced, and one slow paced. All going in the same direction. A few weeks before maybe some of us could go up there to mark it off the trails we are going to use. Friday one trail and saturday a different.
On the day of ride three lines for which group people would like to be in. Fast leaves.....after 5 minutes the second group leaves then after 5 minutes the other group leaves. We pick a lunch stop that will be pre determined before the ride. First group gets there and pretty much stays as long as they want....as long as they leave first before the other two groups leave. Fast group can stay even when the slow group arrives. Maybe stay and see everyone for 20 minutes or so. Whatever works. Make group leaders and 1 recovery person for each group. I dont mind helping in whatever group I am in.
I was also thinking for more recovery people for the dead back. I am willing to watch everyone leave and stay for 30 minutes then leave following the way everyone went. I just dont know where I am going so it would be hard but if someone did know I will do that. Maybe a few do that and hot rod but stay on that course and if they run into trouble they will be coming all day. That part is just a thought out there.
Basically everyone will be together for the lunch stop and will be on the same HM trail so everyone will know where everyone left from and where everyone is at all times. Also we will put a map in everyones hands before they leave. Also before we leave each day may have a "drivers meeting" to tell about the "watch the person behind you thing" so it can go easy.
I myself want to help this year. I get to go all the time and I know there are alot of out of towners that come. I want to make sure they have a good time. I will want to be in the fast group but will take the back and recovery for it. Doing these groups will make the groups smaller in theory and control will be a little bit better.
Sunday outlaw trail fun! No groups. One group.
What do you guys think? Good or bad please say. I am throwing ideas out there and here is where we get it all straight. |

| I would try to keep it as simple as possible like sell raffle tickets and do the raffle on Saturday when that will be the biggest number of riders and maybe keep the group together until about 11:00am for an early lunch and then draw tickets and after that split into two groups one being a faster group and one being a slower sight seeing and more stops kind of group.I don't see a need for three groups but whatever the majority wants we can do a poll to decide.I don't think people want to spend their time & money to come and ride and have to pick up trash I think we could do that as a group some other time with the ones that get to ride there alot through out the year.I think Friday and Sat will be fine for H/M trails and anyone riding Thursday & Sunday will be non H/M trails. These are just my opinions I'm good for what ever.
Any word on when Pocahontas Trails will be open? | |

| Now that I think about it more........if we do one big group then Friday we may be ok but Saturday being the big day we will about have to do a green trail so the obstacles will be down. That could make it work as one big group. Just still tossing ideas |

| for what its worth, not that i am directionally challenged, but i dont have gps and things like that. I really like the idea of marked trails and a map of where we would be going. hopefully all the stars align and i can make it even take a couple days off work and make a long weekend of it. and pig roast is awesome idea. of course all the ideas i like mean that someone else is putting in the time, in advance i am gratefull for all that you guys do. | |

| I say we should all ride the outlaw trails on Saturday as one group. That has always been the biggest turn out, and we can all do the raffle at lunch time. Plus, we all get to ride together and the new ones can learn new trails. On all other days, we can line up with some riding outlaw trails, and some riding H&M. Maybe a fast and a slow group for each. I don't see a need for a medium speed group, because the fast group could end up being the slowest group due to trail damage or other types of breakdowns. The good thing about H&M is that you can't really get lost if you have a map. The outlaw trails feels more like you are out covering alot of ground intead of riding around in circles. Myself, I would like to do a little of both while I'm down there. Food?....Good hot food one evening sounds good to me! | |

| My whole reason for saying we should have outlaw trail groups every day is because anyone can go down there and ride H&M and know their way around without getting lost, and they can do it without any help at any time. Having a group for the outlaw trails each day helps people learn new trails, and really see the amount of riding there is in the area.
H&M group and outlaw trail group with maybe a slow and fast group for each would be good I think.
