| Got a couple holes in my front tires 26" Bighorns with 14" wheels.I know a lot of you say to get rid of the 14" wheels but I will Probably keep them and just go with 27" or 28" tires.Been looking at Maxxis Zillas,Interco Reptiles and a few others. The Zillas caught my eye because of the light weight but I dont know how tough they are.like to have something fairly light.Still have alot of tread left on the bighorns but got a pretty good gash last fall with several plugs in it,may just replace front tires till I decide on something.Just seeing what you guys suggest. Thanks in advance. | |

| Reptiles wear fast rubber is to soft IMO but traction is awesome but if you don't ride a whole lot they will work for you I just wore them out to fast I thought & so did Hot Rod.Look at the new STI brand tires | |

| I prefer a more durable tire even if they are heavier. I got tired of slashed sidewalls, plugging holes, and buying new tires. I love my Pitbull Rockers! They have unbelievable traction, they're also wearing pretty good and are very durable. The down side is they are heavy and the price tag is painful!!
There is no comparision between Bighorns and Pitbulls when it comes to traction!!!

| I rode 14" reptiles on my Grizzly for two years and they still had lots of lug on them when I sold the Grizz. I never spun them and stayed off asphalt, which eats off road tires. I wanted them for my rzr but I'm on a sequester budget now :) | |

| I know my gbc dirt commanders have over 4000 miles on them now and i will most likely get this summer out of them also...the fronts are still great..prolly just buy two rears and keep the fronts..they are 8 ply a lil heavy but only have one plug in them...on my rzr you can run them low enough pressure that they will not even more a tire pressure guage and not know it... | |

| i have GBC dirt tamers on the teryx and they seem to be doing pretty good. they can throw some mud and seem to clean out well went with 27 inch tall tire. on the road they seem to do fine and dont wonder from side to side i think i am running 10-12 psi
only complaint is they seem to push in the corners a little, but so did the stockers, so i am guessing it is just crapy suspension set up on the teryx.

| Motorsport alloy has cams out with some pretty sweet tires too. I've been talking with the sales rep a lot lately since becoming a dealer for them and he said there getting nothing but excellent feedback! | |

X2 on 14's, no plugs. Really hang well on top of the ruts.

| Just my opinion. If your gonna stick with 14" rims, I would get a tire with the stiffest, highest rated ply as possible (8 ply or more). Me and my riding friends have all gone through the 14" bling bling wheel fad. As those size wheels are not designed for the riding conditions in WV. We have put endless amounts of plugs in them, and not to mention destroyed tires from the lack of sidewall. Most people who have problems with Big Horns are the ones who have em mounted on 14s. I have a set of Big Horns mounted on some SS212 14" rims and I will bet you that I got close to 60 plugs in the whole set and most are in the sidewall. One tire has a huge gash in the sidewall and one of the rims has a big dent on the lip. All of my 12" rims are in perfect condition as well as the tires that are on them. 14s look good but they are not cut out for rocky terrain. | |

| I like the looks of the blackdiamond xtr and the price just wander how long they last. Also seems like if I went with a taller tire it wouldnt pinch as much or am I wrong. | |

| a good 6 or 8 ply radial with a rim guard would be fine with a 14" rim. grim reapers would work for example. I had many more sidewall punctures with 12" mud lites than I ever did with 14" reptiles. the groups I ride with had equal as many flats on either size rim. one of them even has 15" rims on a teryx and hasn't had a flat yet. if you already have the rims I would go with them just my experience | |
