| Hey guys, We had a trip planned for royal blue and it look like most of the group is backing out now. I already have the time off and I'm thinking of canceling my reservation out there and going to HMT. There are 8 of us 6 adult and 2 kids in my group and we would need a place big enough. Or 2 places that hold 4 and 4. Is Gilbert a good place? What HMT trails can be accessed from there. This is 5 nights July 26th to 31st. Also any suggestions on lodging. We'll have the grand kids with us age 3 and 7 and my 80 year old mom wants to come (this shold be interesting). 3yr old and her will be in the back of the T4, so I'm looking to just keep it fun for the family. There may be one other couple comming on thier bikes also. My wife is a photographer and the last day trip we did she took 600 photos from the back of the bike. So if we go and anyone wants to do that kind of ride with our family you'll get great res photos. Any info you have will be greatly appreaciated. | |

| Rockhouse is the closest trail system but Bearwallo and Buffalo Mtn. are a 30-45 min drive from Gilbert. I've stayed at Hawks Riverfront cabins a few times it's very nice, http://www.hawksriverfrontcabins.com/ It sits right on the river that you can fish out if and I think during the summer they let you go tubing down the river if you wish. The Dear and Bear cabin would probably work good for your needs. There's a power washer, air compressor, and fire wood provided by the owners. Trail access is about 200 yard from the cabins and Gilbert is about 3 miles away. There is a little bit of everything food wise in Gilbert from fast food to local stuff, there's also a movie theater if you wanted to catch flick while your there. Hope this helps! | |

| If your not dead set on Gilbert the part of Wv that Bobby is talking about is the best bang for you buck, a ton of riding there compared to Gilbert. It would be a lot closer drive for you too. | |
