| Well, it hit 2000 miles today, 10 months, but I had to take 2 months off from riding due to work. 192hrs, works out to average speed of about 10.4mph. Not fast, but I ride around the farm (or wife does) about every evening, usually under 10mph. Issues I have had: Voltage regulator went bad around 1500 miles - warranty covered Bent lower radius rod - Wife covered, she must have been doing a litter faster than 10mph , she bought me Highlifter arched. A-arm bushing, had ONE going bad, replaced all with Delrin, same one went bad in 250 miles, replaced again, and bad again... think alignment is off, maybe she bent it too - maybe she will replace it also moisture in headlight - warranty replaced I think other than regular oil changes, greasing, diff fluid changes and air filter, that is about it... I hope it stays as solid for another 2k, less work on it, means more add-ons for it And I ordered a 2000 mile present for it today... NEW SHOES.. 30x10x14 Roctane's all the way around..should have them by Wednesday

| Glad it is holding up well for you. Makes me hopeful that mine will hold up well, although it will probably take me 2-3 years to rack up 2000 miles. | |

| Sounds good. I am a little confused -- is the bushing still going bad after replacing with Delrin? | |

| Sounds good to me. Yeah, it sounds like she may have bent the control arm mount on the frame just enough to cause it to wear uneven. The voltage regulator seems to be a problem on those. I wonder if it's somewhere that is gets to hot or to wet? Maybe there is some sort of fix for that. | |

Yea, gotta convince her she bent it, than I can get the arched.. . As for the voltage regulator, it was in a really stupid place, I moved mine and it hardly get dirty now.

Yea, gonna see if there is a way it can be checked for alignment, or if they will warranty it this week, I have the proof that it is not wearing right on the sleeve (shows black 3/4 way around on 1 end of sleeve and opposite side on other end) and you can feel the "clunk" on every little bump.

| A good report on the xp1k. I don't see a huge number of them around here, but the ones I see are bad to the bone and seem to be rock-solid. The 900's are the most popular at the local spots I visit. Thanks for the report...MD | |

Thanks for the report...MD I agree, many are scared of the 1k... they see the problems the guys out west are having and run... the way I see it, most of them buy, load, unload, hammer and don't let off.... gotta do the belt right, I have over 6000 miles on 2 rzr's belts,(none busted) I change every 2000 if it needs it or not, throw the old one in for a spare. Throw out the abuse and non-maintenance riders and you will see a different picture of most makes and models

| Moving that voltage reg was a good move. If it goes out again soon, I would move it again. Looks like the original location was in a real bad spot for water/mud straight from the tire. As for the belts, that's one problem I never had with my rzr. If a person has common knowledge of how the cvt works, and reads the owners manual, they will know to use low range where and when they should. Bigger tires means more use of low range in hard pulls. The belt in my rzr s looked like new at 2500 miles when I sold it. I'm sure I pissed a few people off when I stopped in front of them several times to change gears. Oh well. | |

I have thought of moving mine as well, from under the left chassis. the spot you chose looks good.

| I agree with Hump about not be afraid to use low range. I let my daughter and her family ride in my RZR in WV and they rode in high range all weekend and blew my belt up trying to ride out of Soggy Bottoms in high range. They wouldn't put Low in these SXS for no reason unless it was needed and it is a hassle to have to stop but I do it to shift back in high all the time and my belt looks like a new new with 2K on it with me driving it like your surpossed to. | |

| My Rzr is the first CVT machine I've ever owned, and watching the video on the TEAM website about how it works really helped my understanding. I think blown belts are from throwing it in a mud hole and trying to rip out in high, etc.
Folks that I run in to that have the 1K love it. I'm also envious of 2000 miles in 10 months. I've had mine roughly 2 months and I'm at 103 miles... at this pace in 10 months I'm looking at 500 miles. I need to catch up! Work has been a bear lately though... in the Winter and Spring this year I was averaging 100 miles a month on my wheeler.

Since I was installing a new one, I just had to drill 2 new holes, put dielectric grease in the plugs and hook it up. I think it can be moved without even disconnecting the wires, if you were just moving it.

Looks like its a no brainer mod for anyone to do to get that regulator out of the way of the mud being slung from the tires |

| Good deal on the regulator move. Glad to hear its holding up well. I know there has been some issues with some xp1k's...but thats normally all you ever hear about is the ones with problems. I looked at the xp before I bought my maverick..nice ride, just wasn't the ride for me. I need to get the Mav out and put some miles on it soon. | |

| Good to read a positive report. I helped a friend replace the regulator on his 570, which was also around the 1500 mile mark. Same location. Smart choice to relocate it. | |

| I meant to add here that when I had my 800 I had to replace my regulator around the 1000 mark. It was up in the front beside the radiator. It seems that whoever is making these regulators for Polaris aren't doing a good job. James hooked me up with a new one and never had any more trouble. |

| I never had a problem with the one on mine. I can tell you this.. When it comes to purchased parts on any vehicle, you are gonna get a bunch of crap now. Due to the lack of jobs in our country, companys dog the shit out of their workers to be faster than ever in order to make up for the added taxes on the rich that are in charge. This happens when you try to punish the rich, they just pass it on down. CEO ain't gonna get rid of his 7th vacation home, he will dog the hell out of the guy under him to make more money to cover the added taxes. They get by with this when there is no where else to get a job.
I have a Ford with 15k on it, and I'm waiting on a new rear driveshaft and a oxygen sensor. Been waiting for 3 weeks now.
Working in a automotive parts factory, I know what I'm talking about, so don't run your mouth or I will put Jimbob and Tbone on you. LOL
