| I see where they are doing demo rides for the 2015 line up at King Knob on Oct 26th. Might be a good time to check out the new S for those who are thinking about them. | |

| I plan to be there to check it out. Should be a good turn out. They say they'll have the 570 Ace and the new S but no 1000's, and the demo rides are supposed to be from 10 to 5. Pretty big deal for our area! | |

| I was at RG Honda today and asked about this. They plan to have a 900, and Ace for sure. The will likely will not have a 1000 unless they bring a used one that is on the lot (2K miles). They are having some food as well. I will be there for a while. | |

| Good that they are doing that somewhere other than H&M durring a huge gathering. Gives others a chance to check them out and maybe get more time with them. | |

| Went to the Polaris demo ride today at King Knob. A great event. Took a ride on the new 900S. Wow, a great machine with a great ride. I see why my XP900 Ranger has a hard time keeping up. They treated us to a fine meal complete with pig roast. Caught up with kmccauley there and did some riding near Arden, WV. | |

| I agree with bluesbass. The 900S is like the 800S in the category of size, but that's about it. My 800S continues to impress me, but the 900S is simply a lot more refined in the areas of suspension, power, clutching and ergonomics. I've ridden the trail they used for the demo lots of times in my 800S, and the best way to compare the power is that when my 800S is working pretty hard to climb a hill or accelerate in a straightaway, the 900S is hardly lifting a finger. The transmission and clutch engagement are smooth as butter. All it needed was the PRP seats from my White Fox. Not only that, it was the perfect Fall day for a ride after the demos. | |

Tbone the nearest town is Philippi, WV 26416. If you're in Philippi, you're about 6 miles or so from the park. The GPS coordinates for the main parking area at King Knob are N39 11.189 W80 07.313 if you want to check it out on Google Maps.

| Sounds great to me! King Knob is mostly known for its rock bouncing hill climbs, monster truck mud pits, broken machines and keg parties after dark. But that's probably because that's what's popular on YouTube. It's a gorgeous area with some real nice trails - you can take what you want and leave the rest. Combined with its neighboring areas there's a lot of good riding that we already know of with a lot yet that we need to explore. | |

| There are no cabins, just primitive camping on-site at King Knob. There is a hotel in Philippi, and there are lots of chain hotels in Bridgeport / Clarksburg. Those two cities are about a 20 - 25 minute drive away from the park.
You know, come to think of it there is a Bed and Breakfast in Arden, WV that we ride right past. And I've seen signs over there before for places to stay like "cabin rentals". To give you an idea, Arden is East of King Knob by about 10 miles and is fully accessible via SxS. There is some hard top, but we ride from King Knob to Arden frequently. It's just one of those things - you hardly pay attention to the lodging in your home area. I'll find out about that and post back.

| Hey bluesbass and kmccauley, were you two the bikes I met Sun. on the dirt road along the river just out of Arden? I was in the white Can Am Commander headed back to Arden after a wonderful day at King Knob. We trailer to my place at Arden and then ride to KK as often as we can, love it there. If you're looking for places to stay in/around Arden other than the B&B, check out VRBO online, they list a couple other places to rent. Hope to see and met you some day at KK. | |

Hey Genie, yeah that would have been us! I remember passing you and exchanging a wave. Sunday was the perfect day to be out riding. I really enjoy that cruise along the river. I don't know if you stopped by the demo area at King Knob or not, but the community there was welcoming and friendly. We'll have to start posting on here when we ride King Knob and the surrounding areas, would like to meet up with you over there some time too.
