| I noticed for the first of March that Polaris has kicked up the rebates on the rzr 1000 to 1000 off. That's a big move for them and not typical. That only means 1 thing. Yep something is coming. Polaris is going to try to move a lot of 1000's for the next few months.
Rumor I have heard is a 1200cc rzr. Either way whatever that is supposed to outrun the maverick turbo. Wether it's a rzr 1000 turbo or a straight up 1200cc motor, it's coming soon. |

| 1200 cc. We really need that in WV. Not sure I can hit 120 mph on creek trail safely. | |

| The performance models aren't geared towards east coast trail riding. All the major utv events are out west. I am interested to see who will break the 1,000 cc mark first. | |

| I agree -- the sand eats up power so Glamis can use 1200 cc and 125 hp. In my view stock turbo's trump cc's. Can-am just has to turn up the boost. 1000 cc with Turbo can easily do 200 hp. That's just 15psi on a mild cam -- stock. Heck I had a Jetta 1.8T daily driver that turned 330hp at 18psi with a T3 turbo. My limit was the stock auto tranny holding the torque -- it would limp mode to save itself if turned up any more. I saw the same 1.8T engine hold 400 hp on a street driver with a stick shift.
The horsepower wars multiply with Turbo's. Seen the new 2016 Raptor? 500hp 500 ft/lb torque. That's the 2nd gen Ford EcoBoost 3.5L. Heck I see 500 hp as a mild tune that will last forever on that engine.
Polaris needs to step it up if they just want to play with cc's. Can-am can trump up to 1800cc normally aspirated with just software. | |
