| Well, 4k... dmn and ~20 months, guess I don't ride it enough.. below you will find the 3k update, and in that link the 2k update.. 3k updatesince the 3k update, here are the issues 3250 miles.. knew I needed to do bearings (1st time) decided 1 more ride... left rear went out .. BAD.. tore up CV, Hub, brake disk, caliper... as usual, great to have a great dealer and even better service department, covered all under warranty but the bearings and brake pads. Replaced bearings and pads all the way around... MY BAD, not the machine 3500 miles... threw an axle, stuck in a whole and tried to hard to get out, right front was in the air, then it wasn't, outer bell busted and axle was laying on ground... MY BAD again, had wheels turned all the way right in 4x4 when it hit the ground. 3675 miles... Voltage regulator went out (again) 2nd one, 3rd one in now since I got machine 3900 miles... got a new set of Roctane XD's for the rear, noticed that the cheap Magnum brakes were gone (yea, 700 miles or so) so bit the bullet and put on Polaris OEM pads, and while I was at it put in SuperDave front bushings. Got me a GoPro 4 Silver too the other day, so maybe a little more video to go along with all the pics I like to take Hopefully will do the 5K update soon, with as few the issues I have had so far, see no reason to upgrade yet... maybe | |

| Thanks for the update Elmo. This really helps in things to look out for. Since I am in the 1000 RZR crowd now, I will be looking out for the help to make this thing last. | |

| voltage regulators seem to be a common problem on the XP1K's the 2016's have them located near the radiator | |

| I checked out a 2016 RZR S-900 today, and it looks like the voltage regulator is in front of the left rear wheel, where the heat sink can fill up with mud. Wonder why they didn't move it on the 900? | |

Don't know, I moved mine the first time it went out and my dealer is now suggesting buyers move it, that has to be one of the worst possible places it could be, gotta be where it can breathe and cool or it goes poof... the one I have in now is the one that was available, there is now a new part number for them, but didn't want to wait for it to come in.

| The voltage regulator location was only moved on the turbo 1000 from what I am being told. Elmo --- where did you relocate yours? How big of a job was it? | |

| My 570 has it mounted under the frame below the driver. There's enough harness length to move it to the space below the driver seat in the cab, which I did even though it never overheated. On the 2nd ride, it did overheat in the new location even though I don't have doors, so I moved it back to the oem location. I haven't had any problems with it there. The 2008 Rzr had it up front, but they over heated for some reason. It's one of those issues, like suspension components, that Polaris refuses to correct. | |

Elmo --- where did you relocate yours? How big of a job was it? Shawn, I moved it up, and about a foot to the right, it stays very clean there, so I don't think it was an over heating issue, just a part issue, there is even a new part number for it, the one I have now is the old part number because that is what they had in stock, so we will see how long that lasts.

| I moved mine to the same location. A 15 minute job. Make sure you mount it so that the wires come up from the bottom instead of from the top. It should look just like ELMO's pic when your done. | |
