| I just sold my 2014 Ranger XP900. I was dead set on a RZR S 1000 until the General came out. Now I am seriously considering the General Deluxe with the Fox shocks instead. Suspension & power specs are same as RZR, just a little heavier, longer, and wider.
I test drove the Premium at a local dealer for 5 minutes. Has great EBS and lots of power. Seats and interior much improved over the RZR. I expect new RZRs will adopt this interior in the future. I could not tell much about the ride, and Premium doesn't have Fox shocks anyway.
I like the idea of having some bed space. I will be 80% sport and 20% utility. Deluxe includes some nice accessories (winch, 1/2 doors, Fox, roof, soundsystem). What are your thoughts. Will I be disappointed and wish I had the RZR? Thanks | |

| I think it will be a great machine, may even consider one myself later on. If you want to ride and play, get the RZR, if you want to ride and do some work, I think the General will be the way to go. | |

| Hi Elmo, Thanks for the response. I talked to Lemon & Barretts the other day about a General. They said they knew you and saw you regularly. | |

| If you were OK with a Ranger than the General will be the next step in sporty. If you want full sport then definitely a Rzr. | |

| It's direct competition for the can am commander. They will sell tons of them for sure. Hopefully the voltage regulator and wheel bearings won't have trouble like the rzr has. | |

| It has the same suspension as the rzr 1000-s the deluxe model would be the one to get to get better shocks and a few other options | |

| I use the crap out of my Commander around the property. It's nice though to be able to go right too kick ass mode when you want. If the General is anything like that it will be a nice machine. | |

| I don't think you will be disappointed going to a General. Kinda wish I would have known about the General. I really like my RZR, but just wish I had more storage. The General will have both worlds I believe. Sport and Utility | |

| I got a chance to sit in one of these yesterday. I like the looks and size of it. Only thing I didn't like was the seating position. I am used to the rzr seating stance and the General sits straight up. Seats were ok comfy but with it sitting up so bad, it took the comfort out of it. Sitting in the drivers seat, it felt really small. I loved the accessories it had for it though. Im used to the pure sport segment. Its gonna be hard to get me over to that side. If I went that side I would go Commander over the General any day. Commander is leaps and bounds more comfy. Just my opinion now that I got to see a General and sit in it. |
