| Post up your favorite Preston co trails. I've been out looking for old county roads that people ride on. So here is a list of the ones I've checked out.
1. There is one down at the Iron town bridge that goes to 119 by mpe. 2. One that is near Fortney's mill that connects to Linton road in Gladesville but also forks and comes down to the Independence road. 3.Gladesville Timmens road that comes out by Gordon church. 4. Gladesville Timmens road that comes down to three fork road. called lick run on good maps. 5. Bottom of birds creek road that runs up to Irish Ridge.
Anyhow post up your favorite P CO trails. Or runs

| Hands down one of the best trails in P Co is Peddler's Glory Rd to ash dump rd by the power plant in Albright.
We just made our favorite run yesterday 65 miles round trip. Hazelton thru Muddy Creek thru Tannery and Crane School to Terra Alta. Then run Peddlers down to Albright and back home thru Muddy Creek.

| I've ridden all the above mentioned trails and they are great-how about that massive rut on Timmens Road and climbing up and down - in and out of the creek bed on Peddlers Glory. 1)We also ride to BullRun and Rockville Falls, then up to Pisgah and back down to the Cheat River at Beaver Hole ( above Coopers Rock )2) and to Beaver Hole on the other side of the Cheat. 3)From Tunnelton area, we ride to Laurel Mt. on the gas line to muddy holes and take a sharp left down off the Mt. to Greens Run past the satellite dishes at Etam, up the Mt. and down the other side to Seven Islands, then on up to Red Rock and back down to the Cheat, up route 50 to Lantz Ridge Road, down to Rowlesburg and points beyond.4) We ride to Preston, cross the river on the tressel and up into Whetsell Settlement. Several of these areas are beginning to be gated off and will eventually be closed to atv/utv traffic now and in the future. | |

| Hey Genie72 can you explain more about the Tunnelton area. Where do you get on the Gas line at.
I road the timmens rut the other day it was worse than ever.
Yeah a lot of places are being gated off. But people always find a new way or new route to get around. I wish since the coal mines are hurting that a H&M style trail would open up in this area.

| liftedranger I have a better idea, I'll let you know when we're riding and you join us. Some of these places are difficult to explain. It's like: you go down xx road and turn right at the stump, ya just gotta ride it-to know it. | |

| I'd be willing to trade rides just to get to see some of the other areas as well. We have a ton of riding over this way I'd share just to ride somewhere new. | |

| Any one ever ridden the trail along the tracks from Terra Alta down along Salt Lick? Heard there were several other trails off of it and that it would get you closer to Rowlesburg without riding as much hard top road. | |

I know the bottom end of the tracks has a trail along it. And some of the trails in the middle part went out into the wetzel settlement area. You have to be careful though since a lot of it is military owned now.

| Been out riding a little bit. I've been mapping some of the trials with the my trials app. If anyone else uses it and would like to exchange the routes let me know. | |

I'm downloading right now. If I can figure out how to use it, I'll be happy to map our rides as well. Does it seem to track well on the phone?? We road part of the trail along the tracks from Terra Alta towards Rowlesburg on Sunday. Made it down about halfway and found a road that circled back up towards Rt 7 so we could run down Peddler's Glory.

| I'd say it's accurate to 10 feet or so. It's pretty simple to use just hit the record button when you want to start and hit stop when your done. It'll ask to save. then it'll be in your tracks menu. If you hold down on the individual track you'll get a menu top right that u can share by email or other means. | |

| I messed with it after I loaded the app... seems simple enough to use. Which map overlay did you use? Mine is a topo map. | |

| First time using MyTrails around home. I started it a little late but easy to get to start point. We rode from Hazelton to Windmills in Smithfield, PA and back to Hazelton. | |

| Looks like the water is up a lil but down Peddler's Glory.
We rode yesterday too. Took a small group to windmills in Smithfield. Almost wish we would have made the Terra Alta loop. Dust was terrible. That stretch of water would have been nice.
You get to make it thru any of the Cranesville stuff??

| Water was about 6inces in most places. I came from the Newburg area. Went through Fellowsville, Down to etham, through the 7 islands area. Up mt olive road down lance ridge up salt lick to peddlers. Made a wrong turn in peddlers and came out on freeland road.
It's been 15 years since i was down in peddlers with some jeep buddies. It sure has changed alot.

| That one turn on Peddlers in the bottom after the big mud holes is tough to miss. Really no bad way out of there though. About all of those trails are fun. Heck that area changes every time I'm down there. I bet I haven't followed the exact same route up the creek twice. Seems like with our group you get about 3 diff lines going to see who gets to the end first.
Did you happen to map the part coming to TA?? I've heard of the 7 Islands but no clue how to get there.

| I ended up coming back down saltlick. And taking the railroad track back to Tunnelton then across concord road. I intended to go to Albright then over to bullrun, behind reedsville across morgan mine then back to newburg.
There's a lot of twisty dirt roads back in the 7islands area. At one time there was a road/path all the way from one side of it to the other following the river. I'm not sure if it's passable now or not we kinda took the long way.

We have a good ride planned for this Saturday, going to leave terra Alta down to Rowlesburg, up thru to Horseshoe Run, over to Silver lake then on to Thomas and Davis!! I'll map it and send it to you. Should be about a 100 mile round trip.
