| Hey guys, trying to devise an easy route from the Pinnacle Creek Trailhead to The View and Flag Rock then back to PCTH. The red trails on Bob's maps coming off the front / South side of The View. What am I getting into there? Anyone have any tips or suggestions on getting from there over to the HM Connector without backtracking? Thanks. | |

| The trail called View Alternata2 should be a green or blue. I rode it two weeks ago for the first time in years and it is quite easy, I have changed it on my next map. | |

| Thanks Bob, you're the man as usual! I'm hoping to make this ride in a few weeks and go that route. Went to Burning Rock today and rode the new T66. Very nice addition to that area. | |

| Thanks again for the input on this. I finally did this ride this weekend, and both the trail coming down from Pinnacle Creek (HM) and View Alternate 2 are nice trails.
I was on my quad, and I managed to only get stuck once on Beer Can Alley - Reed Junction heading East toward Flag Rock from the Creek Bridge. The holes that looked bad weren't, and the ones that didn't look bad were like quicksand. Had to winch out the one time. But that is only because I came across a guy going the opposite direction on an old souped up tractor that was outfitted with hard rubber tires. It left very evident tracks as to which way he went, and I figured anywhere he went I would be ok. I should have taken 9 Mile Creek Bypass instead with it being my first time through there. That's how you learn I guess, and I had a great ride. Thanks again for the input. | |

| The track in bold red in this screen shot shows where I was, and I didn't see anything of the sort. Just large NO ATV signs on the haul road. | |
