| You need a fast pipe... I have uploaded a bunch of HD videos of my sons football game... with a Cable internet connection its much faster than my DSL.. I upload at about 3mb sec, and download at about 20mb. My DSL was only uploading at about 125k..
Here is an example, its uploaded at 720p.. at the bottom right on you tube you can change the resolution.. click and you go from 360p to 720p if you want.. When you go full screen it usually changes by itself up to the highest.

| Sorry Bobby, its a reference to fast Internet connection. Cable is the fastest that I know of.. I use charter but I am sure you probably have different providers. I used to have dsl but because of how far I was away from hub my speed was limited. The difference is unreal. I can watch high definition movies on TV real time now... Before I would have to let it download for a while before we watched them.
I didn't know what was possible until I upgraded. Now my kid can play xbox online, my wife can surf the Internet, and I can watch hidef movies all at the same time!

I got DSL which I'm not that happy with but I can get cable but I use Dish Network for TV so you think I can just my internet from my cable company and still keep Dish Network.I may have to make a phone call then and see what my options are. Do you know if I upgraded to a new router if it would speed up my DSL or not.

I don't know how your cable is there. I am sure there are websites you can use to see though! Do you have any neighbors that have it? Have them do a speed test. That will tell you upload and download speeds, then compare to yours to see if it's worth it.
I don't think it would help much to upgrade router unless there is something wrong with it or it's setup wrong. You should be able to do the same speed test now, then call your Internet provider and ask if it meets their minimum.
Many times you can buy different speeds, even in dsl, do u have the fastest speed avail?
Search for dsl speed test and see what you get for performance now.

| Bobby, try a speed test and let me know what you get. Many times it will tell what is average in your area

| I had DSL before and now I have cable. I will never go back, there is no comparison. It still takes awhile to upload a HD vid though. For me a 6 minute HD vid takes about 2 hours. I just took my camera off of HD recently because it takes to long to upload. | |

| The DSL here is pretty fast when it works at all. (I live in the sticks) I just done a 6 minute video with my Flip HD, and it took about 1hr to process the video, and about an hour and a half to upload to youtube. | |
