| Has anyone had any problems with the steering getting tighter and tighter to the point where you can't steer it anymore? At first it was like it was in 4wd all the time and then just started getting worse and worse and now you have to jerk it and it jumps all at once. Any ideas? Planning on taking it in, but just wondered if anyone knew of what it might be. Thanks. | |

| check your tie-rod ends and your balljoints. check alignment, may be off. air pressure in front tires. is you 4x4 working right. does it do it all the time or just sometimes. when the plastic cage in the front diff broke on my le rzr the steering was had at times because of the 4x4 system binding. |

| I had a Ranger and never experienced this , but there are only 2 things it could be and that would be the Rack or the front Diff causing that or maybe a steering going bad ( is there play in the steering wheel , up/down/ side to side ? If only one side of the front diff is engaging then that would cause to fight you in 4 wheel drive ( trying to pull one way ) , the easiest way to diss engage is to back up 5 to 10 feet with it in 2 wheel drive . Do you have enough fuid in the front diff/correct fluid or do you have a leak ? | |

| I think it is prob more ball joint/tie-rod related. 4wd seems to be working fine. Tire pressure is good. It does it all the time now, as soon as I take off and it is to the point where I can't even drive it now. So I don't think it is over heating either. Just have to find the time to take it in to get it looked at. I'm not mechanically enclined enough to tell if the ball joints or tie rods are bad. Would have much rather had it to ride around in for deer season than my 4 wheeler though, that's for sure! Thanks for all of the input! | |
