| There is a group of us from Iowa that go diferent places to ride every year. We have been to Colorado 7 times and Utah twice along with Wisconsin, Black Hills of South Dakota, and southern Missouri. Now this year we are comming your way. The number of us verys every year but last year was the biggest group yet with around 20 people including the kids(first year for kids along). There probobly wont be that many comeing out east cause one group was in a Jeep last year. We will be staying at Ashland resort from july 24th-31st. I can hardly wait. I will be bringing my toy hauler with my dad and his neighbor staying with me and my cousin and his dad have cabins reserved. I dont know where the others are staying but thats there problem. If your riding the area let me know, I am always up for a guided tour from someone that knows where they are going. Forgot to ask. What is the weather like in july? Around here its usaly mid 90s and 80-100% humidity so I am hoping that its a little cooler or at least less mugy. That is one of the resons we go to Colorado so often. We camp at 10,500 feet and ride up to 13,500 and it can get down to around freezing at nite and it may hit 60-70 durring the day and the humidity is around 15-20%. Its a nice break from the heat. Last years group in Colorado. | |

| First Question: Did the Jeep do the Upper Italian in Colorado? We met a Land Rover coming out and wow. That was an interesting trail on just an ATV. I'm sure there will be some people available to do a guided tour. If you have a Garmin you might want these maps: http://www.mediafire.com/?5lydy7hqzm7nw You want the one labeled All WV ATV Trails 1.5. There is also a Colorado one. These were put together by one of my ATV Club Friends (www.triadtrailblazers.com). | |

| No he did not do Upper Italian. He wouldent be talking to me yet if I had taken him on that. Honestly he is the guy that most sane people refuse to ride with cause if he comes out the other end alive it wasent hard enough. The only catch to that is that we live in Iowa where tha max elevation change is a few feet not a few thousand feet. I found his week spot on this trip. He has been saying for years he was going to come with me and this year he final did. On day two of our trip we went over and did Antero. He turned into a little school girl that day. I brought 2 way radios with and they had one in there Jeep and I had one in my ranger. On the way up Antero I asked Teresa(his wife who was running the radio on there end) how she was likeing the veiw while she was on the outside edge of teh trail. She suprisingly replied she loved it but she wasent to sure of the driver. By time we got to the paltou 3/4 the way up where the sighn is he stopped and refused to go any higher. He aperently is afraid of heights like that. I couldent imagine if I had taken him on uper Italian he would have had kittens rite there. For those who have never seen Upper Italian. The dropp off is worse than it looks. There have been Jeeps scattered down the face of this tallus before, parts strewn everywhere. Thanks for the maps. I dont have any GPS but maybee I will get one for this years trip. I keep saying I want one but I never buy one. | |

| I rode the same areas in Colorado in September and we encountered a Nissan Xterra at Mt Antero. No issue for him. The Upper Italian is insane in a Jeep or other Vehicle. I hope to see you the week you visit WV. | |

| Well this SUCKS but we are not coming now. Money is tite and fuel keeps going up. It just went past our breaking point and the trip is no longer afordable. We are just going to go to the Black Hills instead. It is only a 6 hour drive and has lots of riding available. My cousine, his wife and uncle are still headed your way but there will only be the three of them. | |
