| Kenny- I have the same type of toyhualer, mines the 245 model. I see the rear bed is still mounted, but did you have to take the mattress off to raise the bed base higher? I am looking at new sxs's and don't want to do any more than let air out to get it in. I can remove the rear bed if I needed to but would like to avoid that as the boy or friends use it when we ride. Thanks in advance.... | |

I can remove the rear bed if I needed to but would like to avoid that as the boy or friends use it when we ride. Thanks in advance.... I don't take the mattress off but I did move the bed brackets up to the highest adjustment wholes and the mattress is tight against the roof when all the way up. If my JBS roof didn't have the side fins that stick up it would be easier, but I work around them because that is the strength in the roof. I pull the Can Am in as far on the ramp as I can and then let the air out of the rear tires completely and about half out of the fronts. Then use the winch and pull it the rest of the way. The roof touchs the bottom of the bed then! When I tie it down it gives the clearance to travel...... | |

| Here is the link to the toyhualers Kenny and I have. They are very nicely equipped and super light ( I have towed mine from Maine to Arkansas and all points inbetween, they make a model with a higher rear roof now. You can find them used at pretty good prices. http://www.cruiserrv.com/fun-finder-xtra.php They are also tough. We had our first one 29 days and it was totalled by an idot in Atlanta GA. We camped in it for 3 more nights... | |
