Are you gonna be in the 5 Points area or ride over toward Piney? I will be at my camp all weekend near Smithfield. I'll keep my eye out for ya but the odds of seeing you on the trails are pretty slim. Just too much area!!!

| Well Thunter, Planning on covering some ground pretty early, 5 points first, maybe eating lunch in Smithfeild or Wallace, back track a bit and then look toward Piney. I am starting from a point on indian creek, 5 miles from camp copperhead. Keep an eye out for a group with at least 2 rhinos and several ATV's....Thats RZR country down there so I will stick out like a sore thumb! Be safe out there man! | |

I will be heading out fairly early myself. I will be over toward Piney and Copperhead some but don't know which days. I will keep an eye out for you. Ever since the spring ride when I see a Rhino moving under it's own power i'm really in awe!! J/K I don't know if you know this or not but there is a ton of good riding on the other side of Rt 20. From Reader all the way to Mannington and back to Folsom. Alot of good trails there near Smithfield also.

| Well let me ask you this Thunter.....if I cross RT 20 at jacksonburg and ride down to near mannington and cross back south somewhere around wallace.....It wont be a wasted trip?? I have rode the south side of rt 20 for years.....never really ventured up north....I guess what Im asking is it a mix of conditions or just gravel roads?? I would like to make a big loop so I wont have to backtrack and if its good riding, count me in! ...Oh yea, us rhinos are out numbered and easy targets!!! Almost 9 thousand miles on mine and she still gets me there and back, no complaints! | |

I was just kidding about the rhino, LOL!! They were dropping like flies the first day and then Saturday morning on the spring ride but thats just the nature of the abuse we put them through. As for the riding on the other side of Rt 20. There are alot of trails but if you don't know where they are you might spend most of the day running old dirt and gravel roads. Most of the good trails that I know of are around smithfield, back toward Mannington, and around Folsom. However it's almost impossible for me to tell you where they are at. I probably wont be riding many of these this weekend but if you would like maybe we can hook up one weekend and I can show you some of them. I made a huge loop one time and the second half of it started in Reader. If you come acrossed the bridge there at Reader, then cross Rt 20, go straight up the hill. That is an old county road but it's basically just a trail now. I then looped all the way back to Hoyt Ridge and rode to Cobourne. Then hit several trails over to what is called Picken Paw, this is between Smithfield and Curtisville lake. From there it's all trail back to 5 Points. If I remember correctly it was a 103 mile loop. There were alot of old roads and the riding was pretty smooth for the most part but it was nice to see new country and new trails. Sometimes I like those old roads so I can put the pedal down for miles at a time.

One other thing, I don't know if your gonna make the 5 Points ride June 4th/5th but if we don't get slowed down a bunch on Saturday there is a 20 mile loop i'm gonna take thats on the othe side of Rt 20. It's all trail and would give you a great place to start exploring from in this area. We would go by multiple other trails and roads for you to explore if you ever came back. Hope this helps!!!

| I might actually be doing the first riding in about 2 years in Bergoo this weekend. It's going to be pretty easy stuff but it's still nice to get out there... | |

| Bergoo is in the mountains near Snowshoe and Webster Springs, WV. There were a lot of people there this weekend but it was great. Got to ride over 100 miles. The Elk River begins at a fish hatchery there... | |
