| Has anyone riden around the Bergoo area? I was talking to a guy last weekend that has gone there and he said that it was the best riding he has found yet. I am supposed to hook up with him and go some weekend. For those who do not know where it is, east of Webster Springs, south of Bemis. Might be something for a group ride. | |

Sounds good give us a ride report after you ride it and let us know how you like it and if it is worth a road trip :71:

| I have riden Bergoo the last three years. I have never had my rzr there but I have seen alot of side by sides there. I saw a rzr for the first time there and the man that owned it let me take it for a ride and now I own one. Up on top there is some massive mud holes. butiful senery. Had a very bad experience there last year. My 22 year old daughter had her throtle stick open???? maybe a stick or something got stuck up around the cable. Any way, she rolled it back on top of her and broke her back. She is better now but it was a scare. It cut our trip short but up until that we had a blast. The Webster rescue and fire dept was great, one of the best I have seen. The Timber company that owns the land is great to allow people to ride there. I think they should charge a small fee to allow people to ride to pay for clean up and patrol. Stupid people throw trash out and ride crazy on the roads. We are not going this year we are going to Gilbert and try the Hatfield and Mccoy. We will be there June 20th to the 27th,May leave early and try Burning rock on the way back. | |

| Bergoo is my main riding spot. I hit it atleast every 3 weeks. Hands down about the best place I've been. Group ride? I'm ready! That place is home to me. I've logged a few thousand miles over there in my lifetime so far. :117: | |

| When I was a bartender in WV, there were a couple of dudes that were brothers that came in the bar regularly that used to ride there. They said the terrain and scenery were unbelievable. I have ridden a lot of places, but I still say WV is the best state overall for places to ride. Brimstone is my favorite place that charges a fee, but I have gone some awesome places in southern WV. You can ride for days. I have ridden some in Greenbrier County and Pocahontas County, but never Webster. I would love to check it out if I can fit it in this year sometime. | |

| 100 years or so ago (seems like anyway) I used to go upstream from Bergoo to trout fish the Elk River. Back in the day it was some of the best fishing in the state. Back then it also took one hell of a good 4 X 4 truck to get there! Like all good things, nothing stays the same. Last time I was in that area it looked like one of the biggest camper dealers on the east coast. I'll bet every RedNeck that owns a camper has it parked at Bergoo! Oh well, like I said, nothing stays the same. |

| Oh believe me, it's great. Yeah, there is alot of campers parked up in that area. A few small cabins too. I know a few people from about 2hrs. away that have camps up there, they act like it's the greatest thing that ever happened to them. Great trout fishing, and awsome 4wheeling. | |

Well, the ramp feed is this sat in Richwood. You should come to it, and bring the Rhino with ya. You could eat a ton of ramps, and then we could hit Y-holler, as long as I lead the way. lol

| Simoniz, best way I could tell you is find yourself a map of WV. Then find state route 20 near the center of the state. Find Webster Springs. You will note that it is right along the Elk Rive. Follow the Elk River upstream and you will find Bergoo if it is on the map. I want to say the route number is route 5 or 15 but not sure enough to say for certain. Been a lot of years since I've been over there. The beauty of that area used to be second to none! Only hope it hasn't been trashed up with all the people. |

I don't know how many miles. I usually take the same trails when I go, I can make a 40-60 mi. loop without backtracking any. Then there are lots of dead end trails where they have logged if you want something a little more hardcore with steep water breaks and such. It's old coal mine, and logging land. Not posted, privately owned. A lot of people ride these places. Its got a lot of different terrain.....decent mud, rutted out hills, just about everything. You could log over 100 miles and not get bored. Next time I go, I'll get some pics posted.

| I am going to have to map it from here in Ohio. I agree WV has some of the best riding. The whole state is beautiful and under rated. I sure hope they do more to secure riding areas for the future like the Hatfield and Mccoy trails. I hate when people leave trash behind. It is very easy to leave nothing but your RZR tracks. | |
