2012 Spring Ride & Charity Raffle

Ashland. Let's ride!

I am going to try to make it Thursday, to far away to no for sure, but Friday early for sure.

Here is the plan for the Spring Ride


Friday & Saturday will be Outlaw trails!!!!

Thursday & Sunday will be up to you to ride what you want and with who you ride with.


Thursday-Who ever shows up will be on their own to make what ever plans they want.
I should be there to take a group out if some want to do that.People will
arrive at different times so like always people will be posting what
time they will be arriving so they can figure out who they can hook up
with for a ride.


Friday-9:00am
be at the Gazebo beside the office for a drivers meeting and we will
vote by a show of hands if we will have one group or two and line up to
ride.


Saturday-9:00am be at the Gazebo beside the office
and we will do the raffle drawings at this time.Immediately after the
drawings we will have a drivers meeting and we will vote by a show of
hands if we will have one group or two and line up to ride.


Sunday-9:00am
Line up at the stop sign and we will decide what we are doing based on
how many we have that want to ride.I don't think there will be many so
the group will decide then as to what to do.

Big thanks to Slopoke and Gadget for hooking a brother up with a cabin, no more damn tents for me!!

OK guys I am looking for some honest feed back. I am relatively new to the SXS world (Long time ATV rider) and I think this spring ride looks like a blast. i recently picked up the Teryx4 so I can bring the family along on rides. My question is, is this ride approprate for young kids? My twin daughters are 4 and they have been on rides over 80 miles already however they are not very dangerous hardcore type rides. If I am riding tough trails I leave them home. Does anyone else bring their young kids to this ride and if so how do they do? I think they would have a blast but if this thing is more about riding hard and partying hard then I would leave them back. Brutal honesty here guys Thanks!

I think we will be splitting up into 2 groups. Fast group and a slower group. The trails are not bad as far as technical...just pay close attention to the sides of the trails. There are some steep drops if you get off the trails.

As far as partying goes...there is some drinking on the trails but I have not seen anybody get out of hand with it. We have a community fire back at the camp ground at night and it can create a party now and then.

I'm pretty protective over my family and I would take them in a heart beat if they would go.

My 13 year old has been on the rides with me since 09 when we started. There have been others who brought younger kids on the rides with no problems but its ultimately up to you. With these large group rides the pace rarely gets above 20-25 mph and most of the trails are not difficult. We try to avoid technical stuff with a group this size or we wouldn't get any riding done. The campfire time can get R rated with jokes, stories and general testosterone fueled fun. But with that being said, my daughter is there and I have never been uncomfortable with that fact. As a matter of fact the community campfire is between mine and Getrdun's trailer so I am in the middle of it and wouldn't have it any other way.

I would say your biggest concern is going to be how well they do on the trail. If you can ride with them and not have them wanting to stop and go back you should be fine.

i wanna be the last sxs in the fast group, that way when i fall back i'll be leading the slow group.
