5 Points 4-28

Is anyone wanting to go riding at 5 Points next Saturday, 4-28-12? I haven't been riding for several weeks and I'm getting the itch to go again. If anyone is interested let me know.

Not sure yet. lets see who all wants to go and let me get back with you. I would like to launch from near Wallace. Last time you went we never made anywhere near 5 Points. So that would be all new trails for you but a little farther drive to launch.

Wish I could make it. I got a couple projects I'm working on. Plus, I have to do all the bushings in the rzr again, and I got to put this Hot Rod sheave in the 450. I'm busy and broke. Have fun.

Extend your triangle from Middlebourne to New Martisville to Mannington and back to Clarksburg then you about got it.

Let me talk with Stroberts5 and see if he wants to go and I'll post our launch point. Since most of you guys are coming from Parkersburg it would probably be better if we launch from near camp Copperhead. Then we can just make a 25 mile trek over to 5 Points.

Hey THunter, I meet you at Bridgeport Equipment in Pennsboro. I bought the Harley Edition...lol...XP 550 and signed up as you can tell. I would like to go with you so I will let you know by Wed. Me and girlfriend will be going.

Ok how about we just meet at the Town House West motel, in Clarksburg at 9:00 AM Saturday morning.

I might be there on a poker run Saturday.

Not sure if the run is going that way, but, it was being discussed.

We will be starting near Idamay and riding that direction. Sometimes we only get as far as Curtisville and loop back around though...

Never been past Joetown or 7 Pines. How are the trails over to Idamay? Is it alot of trail or mostly road?

Mostly trail. There are some really nice trails, and boring trails as well.

Unfortunately, many of the trails in that stretch are getting messed up by new pipelines going in. One trail may be completely gone one week to the next, and you'll have to go to another trail.

Looks like i'm gonna miss this 1. Tore the rhino up... I hope to have it fixed pay day. Ripped front left bearing out and I believe it got my hub also the way it was sounding and it may have gotten my axle also but not sure have to tear it down this week.

Yea we are losing so many good trails around 5 Points that are now major roads that it's not funny. Just last month they dozed over one of my favorite trails. That trail alone was about 15 miles long.

Glad to hear about the trails over toward Idamay, I will have to get hooked up with someone and ride over that way this summer. Been doing alot of exploring from Curtisville Lake back over toward Hundred. Before long we will be riding from Parkersburg to Pennsylvania.

Looks like the ride I'll be on is going North instead of West.

I was kicking around the idea of joining you guys instead of participating in the poker run, but, it's heading in a direction I've not gone for quite some time, so I guess I'll go that way.

Man that sucks I hate when they take out beautiful trails and doze them down for logging etc as that happens a bunch at the Wagon Wheel too

Can we do 9:30......? Clarksburgs about an hour and a half for me...Lol... how far from the Town House to the trails?

Sure 9:30 is not a problem. It's about 30 minutes drive from the motel to 5 Points but I may launch from a spot that's only 20 minutes drive. It's better parking and a closer drive but we would be a bit farther from the good trails.
