I'm the same way Finzup. I don't have a problem with the assault rifles...I just don't see the need. A real nice shot gun or a nice pistol I can see. I guess if I ever shot one it might be a different story maybe. If it's just about shooting a rifle for target practice...I could shoot a 22 rifle and prolly have as much fun and it would be alot cheaper. Like I said...I have not shot one yet, so maybe I'm missing out on something.

| Come on guys don't be blinded like two faced Senator Manchin. ARs, or versions there of, are used all over the country for predator hunting. And what about self defense? If your house was under attack, would you rather have 30 rounds at will, or 5? We have the right to own any rifle, shotgun or pistol to protect us from this wonderful government of ours! | |

| Some like shooting as much as riding a sxs. Why do you have a rzr instead of a Polaris Ranger? A Ranger will do the job.
Yeah, it's kinda like that. Some think a fast sxs is a bad thing. Dangerous, they are to fast and people get killed in them all the time. Does that mean you shouldn't be able to buy one?

| If they outlaw guns, they will have to outlaw cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATV's, UTV's, knives of any kind, baseball bats, crowbars, broomsticks, my hands.....you get the point. This political correctness is a bunch of crap. We can't "label" anyone as having a sickness and treat them differently anymore. It is people that kill people. We need PEOPLE CONTROL!!!! | |

I think what Hump is trying to say that your chances of getting killed are higher in a real fast side by side. Why do we need a super fast side by side when a Rhino can do the same just not as fast. Odds are that you will be less likely to get killed in a Rhino vs a Maverick. Its all in what the customer wants is the answer. The same choice as buying a Corvette or a Toyota Corolla. |

Honestly the only reason I like it is because I like target shooting. I just enjoy shooting those guns to death. Also like all the changes and customization that you can do to them. I have a two customized bolt action rifles and two semi-automatic pistols that I like to hunt with and/or shoot. A short barrelled, tricked out, AR 15 w/30+ cartridge clip doesn't seem as though it'd be a good hunting or target weapon. Maybe it's fun to blown stuff up at 50yd.s?

| Each time another person decides what is best for you, then that is an incremental step in your loss of freedom and choice. Personally I think it's best for you if all atv's and sxs's were limited to 40 horse power. There should be a law.. What do you think? | |

Law abiding citizens should not have their 2nd amendment rights taken away because a 20 year old scum bag with a history of mental illness does the unthinkable. does anyone need a 30 round clip and an AR? nooooooooo. does anyone need a 100 plus HP Maverick??????????????? no. A 500 plus HP Corvette?????????????? noooooooooooooooooooooooo. who says the little azzhole wouldnt have built a bomb like timothy mcvey did in OKC. we need MORALS in this country, not laws against law abiding citizens. why arent we looking at restaining people with arsbugers illness, ohhhhhh no, i'm sorry, they have a mental illness, we need to understand and be caring. and while we are at it, lets make sure everyone gets a trophy for playing any sport. no one wins, oh excuse me. everyone wins. i am soooooooooooo pissed that this contunues in this country. this plays right into the current adminastrations overall game plan to disarm america and turn us into a socialist state like england and france. its more than the second amendment under attack folks. and last but not least, you think that balless lil sob picked on a K-4 school at random?????????? he knew he could control them, didnt pick on adults. i hope he burns in hell for eternity.

| Very well put Hump.
I went to my local gun shop today and they have been selling everything they have, tactical guns, long guns, rifles, pistols, everything. Everyone is scared they are going to take their guns. The only thing I believe they (the Gov.) will do is pass the assault rifle ban again. This ban will include high capacity clips as well but I believe it's highly unlikely that any ban will be put on long guns and rifles. Just my 2 cents.

| I believe during the last ban you could sell your guns privately and no pistols will not be included however, high capacity mags would be band. Don't know about parts. I just hope they do not make a bunch of knee jerk reactions. People are scarred so support for these types of bands may be easy to get.
Here in my county we had someone last week threaten to cause terror in our High School this coming Friday for "The End of the World". I do not know of any parent that is sending their kid to school now on Friday including some of the Deputies that have children. Each of our schools have had multiple law enforcement on scene all day long all week. The Conn. thing Friday made it worse. The thing is I do not know of any of these attacks that happened after a warning. I just hope they find the person(s) involved and lock them away.

I think that I know. Every Israeli citizen has to serve in the military (male and female). Every active duty and activated "reserve" military citizen must be armed at all times when in the public arena. Having worked there, I know that nobody is surprised or intimidated seeing young folks in uniform shopping with their rifle on their shoulder. Dispite what you may think, Israel is one of the safest places I've been.

| The 1st reaction from our leader should have been "we need to find a way to make our schools secure at all times, and have someone there that can stop an attack like this". Instead, this was used as a way to push the gun ban that they want to pass in order to take steps to disarm us. They figure this is the best chance they have to get enough support to do it since the victims were mostly small children this time.
We can send troops to another country to die for their stupid problems that are none of our business, and spend millions of dollars doing so. But, we can't put an armed guard in every school, that would cost to much money.
The whole problem here is not guns, or certain types of guns. The problem is kids are taught that god doesn't exist, and they are babied when they do wrong instead of having their asses beat. If someone is mental, people just say "he's out there, but he would never do something like that", or even worse, they make fun of them.
A gun ban will do nothing to keep this from happening again. Instead of banning high capacity guns, they should have one in a locker in the principals office of every school.

The 2nd ammendment is not about hunting. That is where everyone is completely wrong. It is about our right as Americans to own guns to protect ourselves from the tyranny of government. And all this talk about banning guns is exactly why Jefferson established those rights.
