| Thanks for the explanation, Jet. I can totally understand being ready to ditch a machine that gives you a problem every time you ride. Happened to me with overheating and electrical problems with my 2009 Teryx, which was the justification (in my mind, anyway) for buying the XP. No problems with the XP so far, but given my undesirable location (suburbs of Washington DC) I only make it to WV for real, prolonged riding a few times a year, so we'll see how the XP holds up.
The Teryx overheating problem was a design flaw that was fixed in later models and the electrical problem basically stemmed from mods I made. If Kawasaki ever makes the upgrades to the 2 seater that they put in the 4-seater I'd seriously consider another one. Fun and a lot of uility as well. Yamaha is known for quality in just about everything they build so you're probably wise to wait and see what they come up with. | |
