when is the best time????

wanting to plan a trip soon to bergoo just wanted to see when the best time was after the first of the year to come and ride. also was wondering how the lodge is any info will be greatly appreciated thanks.

It is real cold over there in the winter. If it snows a foot, it will be there for weeks. Not much traffic in the winter, and no dust. I think it's more fun to ride there in the winter, but don't be surprised if you have to cut a tree, or turn around some. There are still people riding, but not crowded at all. I have rode all day over there and not seen anyone else.

The lodge has winter rates right now. The lodge or getting an.entire house are both both good. I have a.friend there now. I have a group of about 15 going up in April. I was going to post the exact date on the forum once I have the date finalized.

i figured the snow stuck around a while i think maybe march or april

We ride in Bergoo several times a year every year...just FYI...you'll need to take chainsaws and be prepared to do trail maintenance if you're going early in 2013...when Hurricane Sandy dropped all of that snow the end of October...it absolutely riddled the forests there...masses of trees down, and I'm quite sure the locals haven't had time to open the trails over the winter months. Come spring I'm sure there will be lots of people out working on the trails, but this early in the season, I'm doubting much has been cleared.

Most all trails are clear...I have rode there all winter and this weekend there was still 10" at the base of all Mtns... Our group ride as Mentioned by D Sawdy will be on the weekend of the 26 April... Most of us own camps there and as of now It has gotten a little to big this year for the couple of us that know our way around... Anyone is welcome to come it is a guranteed good time rain or shine... Sunshine that is :)

I'm ready now. Rode the last two Saturdays over there by myself.

10-4 on that. The group of people coming is smaller than we have had in years past. See you on the 26th.

Going to Bergoo on the 25th. If u wanna join in Cool. If u have a problem with a group that comes once a year stay home. We were invited by the same person that invited u. We r staying n monterville.
