| I have a friend who has one & the camber / caster is reall bad on it. It's wearing the inside of the tires out somethin major like. Is there anything that I could do to straighten the wheels back out? Would a stiffer spring or a lift kit do the trick? Is it normal for the RZR's to have the tires tilted in at the top? My friend seems to think the frame is bent. BUT, if I lift up on the front end the wheels stand up straight then. Idunno...................help? | |

| Is there any play if you grab the top of the tire and pull/push on it. Could be bad ball joints or control arm bushings. Never heard of anyone having camber/caster problem. | |

| No, I've replaced the A-arm bushings, wheels bearings and the ball joints look fine. Just standing back & lookin at the front end the tilt in at the top of the tires looks massive! His grandson did roll it over on its right side once but that would only make one side bad.....both sides look equally tilted in? | |

| When you say you lift up on the front and it looks better then that answers your question , if the springs are black then they are the factory spring and completely dead , replace the front springs . More than likely the rear is gone also . JBS may still be able to get you a real great set of replacement springs that will put you back at the correct riding heights . There was also some replacment springs and shocks set that gave you resi suspension front and rear , if your is a standard it the single best thing you can do to improve the ride . | |

| I run the High Lifter springs on mine which I like and a friend from Ohio just did a great write up on a dual rate rear and single front spring system from Racer Tech that come in different weights for RZR's. This write up is on Rocks and Ruts forum! | |

| Idunno how many miles are on it. If the shocks are worn would just springs raise it back up? Idunno how much money he has to invest in it right now. | |

| Springs hold the weight of the vehicle and driver , shocks just slow all the movement . Springs will fix the problem of ride heights , better shocks will improve the overall ride . Springs might cost $100-200 , shocks set with springs $400 to thousands depending on how he rides . For $1500 plus he can convert it to a S ( check with JBS for the super atv kit $1500 , or the polaris kits is like a $1000 more ) . But springs will more than likely fix the orginal problem you asked about , but most move to the S setup as it is better ride overall . | |

| Just let him know he is wearing out his bearings , bushings , A arm mounts and axles cause of the angle , the springs keep it all in the middle ,the more he rides it with dead shocks and springs the more damage he is doing , so he really is not saving anything by waiting . | |

While you're at it, support the front to where both wheels are off the floor. Don't know if the pre-load is all the way down, but disconnect the bottom shock mount and suspend the shock/spring out of the way. Put the wheel back on and check for hub/wheel bearing play, ball joint play and ball joint stud to bearing carrier play. There are other checks to do if you suspect bent A-arms/frame. I should know.

It's actually one that's familiar to a lot of us. Things jump out and I tend to run into them. . . . like rocks, logs, trees. But, when you ride at "Warp" speed . . . . .? Shut up JimBob.
