| Hope that girl is ok Terry. Tell her Hump said go to the doctor. The rhino retractors is low in the back but not as much mud hits them. I have noticed that I'm bad for not getting mine latched all the way in anything I've rode. Think it's hooked, feels like it hooked, then get down the trail and it comes unlatched. | |

- Yea my bad on the pictures. That's like the second time I've done that in the last couple of years.
I may have to take the wife to the hospital here in a bit. She got hurt alot worse than she let anyone know on the ride. She hurt her neck pretty bad, so bad it's making her sick to her stomach today. All because of Polaris's defective ass seatbelts. Neither one of our seatbelts would work yesterday. I spent at least an hour cleaning down inside of them before the ride, and cleaned the belts. They keep locking up and I can't get them free. I'm gonna write Polaris and chew their ass!! Really don't wanna go back to a harness but at least they function.
With about 12k miles put on the two RZR's Ive had I have only had my seat belt on maybe 3 or 4 times which is dumb I know.My drivers side on my current RZR has been locked up for a while now so can't use it if I wanted to Yea sooner or later it will bite you. Maybe something as simple as you riding 40 MPH on Wagon Wheel road and a deer runs out in front of you. Crashing is not always our fault, I've had several near misses of head on collisions with other riders who where hauling ass in sharp turns, shit happens.
I don't know about other SXS's but Polaris puts there seat belt retractor down low and it's open for mud to get into, which leads to it locking up. I've had them lock up on the ride. There has got to be a better way. I'm gonna write Polaris and see what I can get back from them. Seems to me this is a potential catastrophe for someone and a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Polaris needs to do something it's BULL I know I need to clean mine out and get it working and start using it.That was another reason I changed doors on my RZR.The new doors I got don't let all that crap inside and get my seat belt re-tractor nasty and my gas cap stays clean around it 100% better now. Hope your wife gets better

Thanks Pitdog!! She is pretty stubborn so it will be a miricle if she will let me take her to the Dr. Just saw this thread. Hope Wifey's OK. Put your harness back in and we'll be lost together(again) when everyone else takes off unbuckled.

It was really bad down near the sawmill!! Down there pipelines where running in every direction. Looks like we're gonna have some new awesome hill climbs here real soon, like we needed any more!! Where was all this mud though? Man it was dry and very dusty on Saturday!! I never made over near Quarter Mile, or out Sand ridge. We did get out to the Fours and down to the Rock, that area is pretty much unchanged. Would loved to have made it over to the Joetown trail, but that was just to far to ride. If you make it over to the Joetown trail let me know how that one is. If we loose that trail I think I might cry. We have already lost too many good trails!!

Thats why I took those harnesses off and sold them, I hated the time it took to put them on, and nobody wants to wait on you. I'm gonna rig something up, I have an idea but it may be more trouble than it's worth.

| Thanks everyone for the comments on the wife. When she first hit her head I was concerned about how much damage she did to the RZR. You have no idea how hard headed she is. I really hope she doesn't read this!! What happened was we had just went trough a switchback, she leaned forward and looked back to make sure we hadn't lost anyone. At the same time I went over a knoll, just on the other side of the knoll was a big breaker/hole. I was only running about 20, but when I hit the brakes she hit the windshield. It all happened in the blink of an eye. She is still hurting and stiff but I think she is ok. She has gotten a little better but is still in pain and very stiff. Again thanks for the thoughts!! | |
