| Last few days have been a bit like Christmas.
Yesterday my Jstrong top arrived, I have not had time to mount it yet, but hope to get to it in the next few days. I am trying to decide if I want to hard wire direct to the battery with and auxillary switch or run a relay and tie it into the ignition so it is only on when the key is on.
Yesterday, I also received my new LTR Exhaust system. This is a very nice setup, some nice custom billet parts are included with this system. LTR was also nice enough to ship the Supertrapp disks as well as the quiet cores. Hopefully I can get the noise level down a little with the combination.
And, in the next day or so I should receive my new Dakota UTV-1500 digital gauge. This gauge is very nice, it offers water temp, volts, and oil pressure as well as the main that the stock odometer offers.

| Yeah, I am entering into a 12 step program after all this.
But in all seriousness, I am reading all of the horror stories about the airbox/throttle body boot letting air in. I would like to upgrade the airbox but only if it's necessary. Whats everyones take on this? If the 09's have been fixed, I don't want to mess with it.

I think the 09's are ok from what I have seen and read and Bush had around 1600 miles on his with no dust getting into his throttle body.

| That's cool, I'm heading it down to the WW and Pinnacle on the 15th of October. You know how dusty it gets especially this time of year. Just wanted to be sure.
I did order a UNI filter for it thought.

| I think you are better off using the Polaris paper filter than the uni filter from all I have read about the RZR and dust with people using the uni & K&N | |

| Interesting. I will definitely keep that in mind.
I know that in a lot of testing, the UNI and TwinAir filters were always the best when we would do a illuminescent micron test.
I will look at this though thats for sure.
For the record, I will not even consider K&N because tesing showed that it is substandard in dusty situations.

| mine has just under 1700 miles no dust it the intake. so i do think the dust issue is fixed. i ran the stock filter with an outerwear over it. i do like a UNI filter over the stock filter but as long as the stock filter was working i was not going to change it. and as a K&N goes i dont like them on something that goes in a lot of dust. i do run one in my truck but will not ever see one in any of my offroad toys! |

| Thanks bush, that is a bit reassuring. I may hold off on the airbox, the LTR exhaust whipped my butt, so I am tired of installing plus the fact that the bed is a major pain to remove. Here are some pictures i took after the install. | |

| No idea how it sounds. By the time I finished up, my kids were in bed. I wasn't about to re-awake twin 3 year olds. I also need to get a set of ball end allen wrenches, and some ball end allen wrench sockets in order to finish torquing the exhaust manifold. | |

| OK, with the standard tips and spark arrestors is is loud. I equade it to a Harley Thunderheader for those who know what that is.
I put the quiet core along with the spark arrestors and it is much more docile now. Very close if not quieter than the stock. It has a deeper tone, and not as raspy.
Tomorrow I am going to try the Supertrapp disks to see what that does for the noise. I also hope to get some sound clips along with decibel readings tomorrow also.

| Thanks, when DWT told me about them I really could not picture what they would look like. And the images certainly do not justice. He told me that these would have the look of a black wheel, but the finish would be 100% more durable than powerdercoat or hard coat anodizing. | |
