| " /> Took it out to the Pocahontas trail system and I guess we (me and the wife) were about 4 miles into the trail right in front of a cemetery and it went dead! There was no power going to the dash at all! Holy "S", this is why you don't ride alone! After checking the battery connection and everything else I could think of I resorted to Google! Google said it might be a blown fuse so I located the fuse box and checked all of the fuses.....all good! As I was finishing unplugging and checking every fuse my wife turned the key and we had power! I can only assume there was a loose fuse! We ended up putting in about 30 miles with no other issues! |

| There is a 30 amp fuse, first one under the seat, that if you pull will cut of all power. Good one to pull if you are worrying about someone stealing it.. It must have lost the ground and you reconnected it by checking. So carry extra fuses. Also check this post. https://wvsxsriders.forumotion.com/t10283-new-wildcat-died-on-me..You need fender flares, check with Andy..I can't walk very far so I never ride alone.. What about you and your wife?? Pocahontas is wet right now=fun. | |

| Glad You got it going. When I get a new machine I like to put a little dielectric grease in all the connections. Then you are waterproofing them and you know that they all have a good connection. | |

I had seen that post and when it died that is the first place I looked! Everything there was nice and clean so I went on to other things. And fuses are now on my list of stuff I need to get before my next trip out. I will be calling Andy tomorrow about fender flares. Pocahontas was a bit on the moist side...especially #10 on the way back to the trail head. There was one hole I really had seconds thoughts about but the WC went right on through it. |

I looked for that stuff in Lowe's last week to take care of those connections in the rear but could not find it! I am sure it can't be to hard to find elsewhere! |

| Yea I always say I use to ride alone all the time about 12 years ago when I first started riding there and never thought twice about it and I did not know the trails like I do now and there were no H/M trails they were all Outlaw trails. That is why I made this site so I will all ways have people to ride with and West Va being so close it's the only place I'm riding as it cost enough to do trips to Matoaka or Bramwell,Ashland etc. | |

| After today, and getting off lucky, I will make sure I am riding with someone from now on. It was kind of unsettling being out there with a machine that was doing NOTHING. The only saving grace was that I could hear others riding all around me. Right after I got it started and was putting my tools away a guy on a Commander (also riding alone) stopped and asked if everything was OK.
As far as the ride goes, I love the suspension but the only thing I can compare it to is a Rzr 570. It's great going over bumps and not really feeling them. The brakes need some help, not enough braking power for a machine that heavy. I was amazed at the way it went through some of the mud I found! There was one hole I had no business in being out there alone but it just kept digging! Just ordered mirrors (hate not seeing behind me) and will call about flares tomorrow and possibly an additional cooler rack. Overall it was a fun day and I added to the list of stuff I need to carry! |

The only issue I have with it is the suspension, it just is too little travel to be a very good ride. So what could be done to help the wildcat brakes? Better pads, maybe? Factory pads aren't the best. Does the engine braking help at all?

Another small issue that didn't really come in to play when I was out was the turning radius on the WC.....I think it's about 100'. Anyway, there is a kit MLS puts out that replaces the steering knuckles to improve the turning radius and also replaces the front brake pads/calipers to give you better braking. The kit is about $700 I think but it's something I may look at in the future. |

sounds like he had some technical issues. Hate to hear of it happening. Hope it never happens again. |

| Bobby don't care about brakes because he's always in front. I have had to go in the passing lane a couple times. I ordered the kit from MLS power Sports today. Should be in Thursday. Improved turning radius and brakes. Will see.. | |

| He needs to be in front for camera placement! He sure to share you experiences with the MLS kit! I installed my under hood winch today. The winch came with steel cable and I hate the rollers on the front end. Ordered synthetic line and a hawse fairlead. |

Yea, I'll be interested in what you got to say about that, too. I knew turning radius was a concern, but this is the first I've heard about the brakes not being all that great.
