| I am not in the ATV Resort business, but I don't understand where the everyday rider can afford them any more.
I was on their website this evening and wow what the prices are now. The cabin with no water is now $85.00 per night. All it is is a wooden tent.
I guess as long as folks will reserve and pay it, they will gladly charge it, I always enjoyed staying there, but my Ashland ATV stays will be very few I guess. Just sayin'...MD

| That's just it. They are always booked, so I bet as long as they stay booked, they will continue to raise the prices. I'm thinking of buying an enclosed trailer, and just parking along the road or trail. It will pay for itself in just a few weekends. | |

| I've thought about that too. Just a coupl of fold down bunks in the front and I could still park the canned ham in it at night so no one rips it off. Already got a camp shower set up for primitive camping. | |

| Wagon Wheel or Country Road Grocery (Blue Building) around 60.00 and no walking half mile to bathroom. Ashland Cabin comes to 105.00 after taxes but we double up (4 people) pay extra 10.00 then aint bad deal. | |

I dunno maybe getting a room a certain places would be cheaper... But compared to Ashland prices I will use my box trailer and day of the week...yea some motels are cheaper and I could see where the trailer wodbt be worth it then but as far as wagon wheel area me sleeping into box trailer works the best for us.... And it is cheaper... And please Gary don't rale this as me trying to argue with you or anything of that sort...it's just what works best for my wife and myself..even if I get a room somewhere I am still pulling a 20ft enclosed trailer...

| I have stayed at Ashland and it does get pricey. I am with Gary as I had a 28ft enclosed and sold it. Sometimes wish I didn't but by the time I pull it 5+ hours to get to my riding destination I may as well get the hotel room or the pricey cabin. | |

| I think a lot depends on how far one has to travel to get to the destination. Fuel bills add up quick. | |

| Two rzr's on a trailer or two rzrs in my 20ft enclosed trailer traveling 5 hours from southwest pa don't make much difference in fuel... Plus when I stop to eat somewhere I know ally stuff is locked up and anything I don't ppl to have while we are out riding is locked up also... | |

| I have been looking at Ashland, Willys, and black dog and for 4 adults with 3 kids cheapest I can find is like 900 bucks Thursday through sun . on top of that u have to be checked out by 2 so that means no shower sunday when u get done riding. I live 4 1/2 hours away I wanna shower before I drive that. that being said I would like to bring a camper. | |

| I am 1/4 owner of a 38', two slide outs, camper that is at Hilltop. Cost each of us $1,500 for initial purchase and $225/year (lot rent and utilities) for unlimited stays. It sleeps 5 comfortably, has kitchen, bath etc. Does not have water in winter months. TTB members have 8 trailers at Hilltop. If you ride much this is the way to go. | |

| I have been staying at Ashland for along time in my Geterdun rolling motel. About done with their rising prices and crappy RV sites. Was talking to the Wagon Wheel folks. They onlv have 2 RV sites at this time and only $15.00 a night. I believe I'm gonna start heading there or Pinnacle Creek just up the holler. At least staying the you are IN the OUTLAW Trail area....... | |

| Jerry's RP is the place for the after ride belly washer and a burnt bologna sandwich basket. I have never stayed there though. The Blackdog Ranch, around the corner from Hilltop is usually the place we hang our hats.
We as humans are creatures of habit and tend to do most things over and over. As much as I ride in the Ashland/Hilltop areas, someone always on the trail says we are staying at some place I have never heard of...MD

| Here's what I don't like about Ashland resort... How in the world do they expect people to pay those prices when they have no room at all to park anything? Got cabins with 6 beds for more than my truck payment a night and there's only room for two trucks and trailers in there. I went down for a day ride a couple years ago, and there was maybe two cabins with people in them. The rest of the place was empty. I told them I wanted to pay to park there for the day and they acted like they didn't have room. They always talk to me like they are concerned about where I park and it makes me feel like they just want me to go away.
If I had a place and was going to have a 6 room cabin it would have room beside it for 6 tow vehicles. At minimum, you would have to put your sxs back on the trailer at night to make room.

| The area around Ashland is the best central location to ride and they know it. No better feeling than kissing someone's ass to take your money. We stay at Black Dog, we bring our food and they supply everything else. | |

| I started staying at Ashland back in 2007 or 8, heck time goes by so fast. We have stayed in every type of cabin they have represented there. I just don't see anything that would cause the increase of the magnitude of all of them almost being double. It has become a matter of principle with me and y'all know how us good old WV boys are about our principles...MD | |

| This is why its tough for an average guy to drive for 5 hours and spend 3 days on the trails. Don't get me wrong I understand it takes $$$$ to keep a place like that running but its getting out of hand. If I can get 4 or 5 guys together and take 1 truck and stay at B Dog, we can do it for about $150.00 a person. If a fellow wants to take the wife and kids and do the same that's a kick in the a$$. | |

| Since Carolina rhino sold his ride and it's just me now, I have been thinking about putting one of those Leer camper tops on my truck and just sleep in it. An air mattress, drop cord, fan and a light and that would be all that I would need in the spring summer and early fall. Just stay somewhere with a bath house.
I am with everyone else...I understand the need to raise prices but to almost double is crazy. I can see a lot of people going to other parts of the H/M trails to ride at a cheaper place to stay.

| We(the family) have always stayed at Ashland when we go but I think I might start looking for someplace else. We do have a trip already booked there for this year but it's a rv site. If we weren't staying the rv it would cost us more to stay in a cabin with a bathroom than it would if we went to the beach for the same amount of time. I could handle a few dollars as a increase but some of the prices are just insane. When I go with my brothers and some buddy's we usually stay at Mt. Top Cabins. Their not the fancy ones like Ashland but their clean and have everything you need and it's $30 a night per person no matter how many you have in your group. Granted it can be a pain to get to sometimes but we've never had a problem there. I think I'm going to check out the Wagon Wheel next time we plan a trip, looks like they've really done some nice work to it and like Getterdone said it's right there on the trails and you don't have to worry about getting out of Ashland with beer in your cooler if a ranger is there. As for Riders Paradise we stayed there a couple years ago and wasn't to impressed with the "cabin" and we had one of the nicer ones there. Now we knew it wasn't going to be a 5 star place but it could be a whole lot better. The wife said she'll never go back and she's not that picky when it come to places to stay. Great location and the bar is great but the cabins not so much. | |
