| I live in prosperity, and have made it a few times but some of the trails are cut off now.....you can make it from morgan hills but you have to cross a mine site and some train tracks......I think you pretty much need to start in the Lester/Sophia area or shady springs....so i usually end up trailoring anyway.....when we make a trip i will be sure and post it up....... | |

| We use BobT's maps & can get from Burning Rock (Sophia) to Wagon Wheel ... it's a great ride! Or like Billy said we can leave from Flat Top, which is also a nice ride. | |

| The map being referred to is a Garmin GPS map. It will work on any Garmin GPS. There are also two versions for Android Apps "BackCountry Navigator" and "Oruxmaps". The link below will take you to download site where you can download the Garmin version. The map description on that page will have to hyperlinks to the where you can download the Android versions.

| What is being referred to as the Beckley area? We can make it to Burning Rock or a little past Sophia to the Subway in Crab Orchard WV. That's only 3 miles from Beckley so I call it Beckley if you ask me. This is on BobT's map.

| Do you see it on your PC. From around the Stair Steps you should see a Green & Blue dashed trail called "Crumpler Mtn Rd - Ashland" it takes you to Hwy-10, you then take Barkers Creek trail and catch the Green & Blue dashed trail "Barkers Creek to BR". The trails only go to Sophia. I assume the etrex is a color model. | |

| Go through the second tunnel past BR. (can't go through first) When you get to the hardtop take a left. At Dollar General take a right. That leads to the Subway in Crab Orchard.
Riding fairly quick is 90 min at most from Hilltop. Riding slow is 3 hours...
I have not looked at it on Bob's Map in a long time. | |
