Pix of bed cut out

I cut out my bed like Barry did to his RZR.We got the idea from Gadget but I don't think Gadget has done his.I like it being cut out for many reasons one being easy to change that one hard to get to spark plug.Two much easier to clean and less surface area to get caked up with mud etc.Three if you need to check,tighten or do any thing to the throttle body boot it's much easier.As you can see you just cut up to the lock & ride holes so you still have them to hold your box and with the box mounted you would never know there is a hole there.Of course you need to remove the heat shield or leave it off.

Thats a good idea.

damn, thats a good idea. my bubba box will cover that hole real easy.

Good thing is you still have the lock and ride plugs there if you wanted you could make a lock in place cover .

Barry cut a piece of Diamond plate to cover his hole and has the Polaris Lock & Ride box on top of the plate.

Even better .....

I would put a piece of plexeglass over it.

You could make the same holes in a piece of plastic and use the lock and ride plugs. Also, a regular boat plug works also and they cost about $2.
