| I use Armorall or Son of a Gun and I recently sprayed WD-40 on everything like a-arms,shocks,axles,axle boots etc: and it really makes stuff look new again. The biggest problem I have is my wheels are mud stained and look like I don't know how to bring back the bling they had when new | |

| Thats why I got black rims but I have been in some nasty mud and it has taken the paint and primer off so I am looking into getting them powder coated. | |

About two hours with the power washer, another two with armorall car wash, bucket and sponge. Then blast up-n-down the street several times to air dry it! The neighbors just love me! :) HaHa

| Wet it down. Spray "Bike Clean" on it....go back and spray it off. It is pretty doggone clean after that. Spray "Moonshine Magic" on the plastic surfaces. Use "Plexo" to clean the windshield. Use the Moonshine Magic on the windshield after that. Local detail shop tire gloss on tires and under the fenders to help the mud to release next go round. | |

I also use Simple Green. I hose the heavy stuff off, then coat it down with simple green and then hose it off. I then use a Silicone spray to cover it after it's dry which will make it look new again. Plus it will help keep the mud from sticking as easily. WD-40 will do pretty much the samething.

| I spray watered down degreaser(no particular brand)on the suspension, and inside the fenders a little. Same for the tires and use a brush on them when I know I won't be able to ride for a few weeks. Armor all or whatever on all the black plastics. The biggest trick is to stop by the carwash on the way home every ride to blast the big stuff off before it bakes on for days. You can spend an awful lot of time hand washing a sxs, and I just don't do it anymore other than the colored/painted plastic. | |

So your the reason why guys around local car washes are putting up signs that say....."20 dollar fine for cleaning up big messes" and "do not wash heavy mud here" |

| Charlies soap on the painted stuff , purple stuff on the Tires . Good thing is WVA mudd is notin like this Carolina Clay .... This stuff can stain a Diamond . I used to use Moonshine spray on the plastics , armoral on the rubber . Used to pretreat with Armoral underneath before riding local cause of the clay, but WVA mudd is not quite as tough. | |

| You could do it like Harley riders. Putt Putt to the local watering hole, park it, get a beer, and stand around saying "Ain't she pretty", then hop in it start it up and rev it to the limiter and say "Sounds good too". That way it doesn't get dirty. | |
