| Anybody riding at Ivy? I know there is a ride April 24-25 for Jeeps, Trucks etc. I believe a friend and I are going to take our quads. We went with them 2 years ago and had a blast, but no way would I take my Teryx where we went with the quads (trail guide said he'd never seen anybody take quads where we did). There would be now body panles left. Granted most of the hard stuff had by-passes, but what fun is taking by passes? | |

| If you are at Waterways, look across Rt.119 and you are looking at it. There is around 3000 acres there. H&M was going to try and take it in, but could not get a right of way from the railroad from what I understand. It would have connected the waterways trails. There is a little bit of everything there to ride on (rock crawling, mud, hills, ruts, high speed fire roads, etc.). | |

| A lot of the trails we went on that day I never knew existed, and I'd been riding there for several years, just never with a local. Some of these trails were on the high end of extreme (rock crawling) for a quad. | |

| I'll have to come down and check it out. That's about 1 1/2 hr drive for me, not too bad. | |

You'd have fun there with any of your toys. If you don't mind the body damage (inevitable on some of the trails).

| I just got back from riding the H&M trails across from it, there were a few people talking about it. What road do you need to take to get there? Can you park at the H&M trail head and cross some how? Sounds like an awesome place to ride! | |

I don't know of any trails from the H&M trailhead. Plus you would have to cross the river(can be pretty deep in places). You take Rt.3 (Julian exit) off of Rt.119. I believe it would be Rt.3 West (go towards Hamlin). I'm guessing it's about 3 miles from 119. You crest a fairly long hill and soon as you break over the other side, there is an unmarked blacktop road on the right with an open pipe gate. There is usually all kinds of surveyor ribbon where you turn. Just follow the road until the blacktop ends and that is about the middle of the place and where most park. There are other ways in (McCorkle Rd.) but it would be too difficult to explain.

| I was at little coal river right where the new H&M welcome center is and guys were saying that Ivy was right across 119. The guys were saying the ridge over looking the welcome center (across 119) was part of the Ivy trail. What im saying is it looks like you could almost park at the welcome center and cross 119 and be there, but I dunno. If its possible I would be interested in renting one of the cabins at little coal and also being able to ride Ivy... | |

I'd say yes (3000 acres). There are tons of trails and "service" and logging roads. A lot depends on your speed. If you are not familier with the area then I'd say you could easily spend a weekend there. Even if you did run out of trails to ride you are still real close to H&M trails.

I think we was right in the same area when we rode some outlaw trails & the Little Coal River trails last year.
It's easy to post pictures https://wvsxsriders.forumotion.com/t100-how-to-post-pics
Or just start you a free photobucket acct or a flickr acct like most of us do.
