Wheel Bearing Grease???

'm replacing the rear bearings on my 05 for the 3rd time. (moose bearings only lasted 6 months-switching back to OEM with OEM rear seals).

My question is - has anyone ever removed the inside bearing caps and packed the inside of the rear spindle with grease, bearing to bearing? (leaving the bearing cap off on the insides)

Just wondering if this would help any?

Im sorry im not answering your question but after reading this, I wanted to know how would I know if a bearing went bad?

Jack you bike up off the ground. Shake the wheel left to right and back and forth...if there is alot of play in your wheel, its time for bearings.

i never though of that but its worth a try i guess. b i remove the seal on the bearings and add a little grease but always put the seal back on. i have also heard adding to much grease will make the bearings get to hot.
