| I would like to have just a little more clearance. I don't really want to go with big tires, because I have a 450 Rhino, and don't want to lose power. I was thinking about going with a 2" lift, and some wheel spacers to make up for the higher center of gravity. I've heard that the lifts will kill the axle joints.
Should I do it, or not? Will it wipe out the cv joints? I do have one wheel in the air alot, so I can't have any binding of the axles when the shocks are fully extended.
I'm looking for some pros and cons of the 2" lift. I've read so much bad and good, it's got me all confused.
Oh yeah, will it make it ride much rougher?

| i don't have one on yet but i am going to install a moose 2 inch. i am going to run one so i can soften my shocks up and still have about an extra inch of clearance. i have researched for awhile now and like chris c and clayboy said they are about 100 dollars and it works good. they add about 1.5 inches.then soften up shocks for about an inch lift. no binding and still not to top heavey. i am also running a 1 inch wheel spacer front and a 1.5 inch rear. i have a 700 so i am going to 26 inch tires. on 14 inch rims. so i'm selling the new sedona wheels that i custom painted with the stock maxxis tires 98% tread. $500.00 firm.will post in clssifieds. i'm always looking for more info. good luck let us know your end result. dan :152: | |

| well the way i see it is you can put a lift on it will gain you some clearence but your a arms still go down to the same level as a stock rhino. You bout bigger tires it raises your whole rhino not just the center. | |

| The only real problem I'm having with clearence is with break-over angle. I'm not getting hung under the difs or a arms, but going over water breaks, trees, and some rocks, I get hung up right under the floor. Just seems that even 1" would do wonders for me. | |

| when I had my Rhino, I put a 2" lift on it for the same reason. Of course, later on I ended up putting bigger tires on it as well. Either way, I believe you will be satified with the lift & it will be cheper than buying tires :152: | |

Nice! l'm looking forward to a review. It didn't make since to me that it would stiffen the ride, but someone somewhere said it did. I think it's because most people change to a big mud tire at the same time. Thanks for all the info guys.

| Subject: moose lift update March 19th 2009, 10:13 am | |
| got my moose lift in lets just say the powdercoating is nice. the directions suck for the front fits great pretty good design except ther are no washers with the kit.and we all know what happens to aluminum when you tighten a steel bolt into it. recomend hardened washers lowes sells them. now the rear poor design. for the amount of weight and abuse it will endure. it will secure itself from going up but not down. that is with torquing the frame side to 80 ftlbs. so i am building a strut to attatch to limit any possible movement.also installed hardened washers and grade 8 bolts. also sold at lowes. my torque specs front frame end 60 ft lbs. shock end 45 ft lbs, rears frame side 80 ft lbs shock end 45 ft lbs. with these torques use hardened WASHERS. this is not the finished product yet. hope this helps. dan [img] [/img][img] [/img] | |

| so far i'm happy with the results i just thought useing aluminum they could have known what steel bolts will do to aluminum when torqued down. the front is great.took mesurements before and after with the front folf cart shocks set on 2nd notch from the softest setting gained 2 inches at the front skid plate.the rear i gained 1 inch on the 3rd notch from softest setting. looks great with the stock 25 inch tires.[img] [/img][img] [/img][img] [/img] | |
