| Anyone here getting a commander? Anyone trading a rzr? Why or why not? I am torn. I love my rzr and have had no issues. But I am afraid the commanders width is a deal breaker. I have to measure my ride when I put the lift and wheel spacers on tonight. | |

| I was getting ready to post this question too.
Has anyone bought one yet? I noticed Travis has got one on this past week. Its a demo so I plan next weekend to ride down there and give it a run. I really like the looks of it.
I am going to have two SXS's but dont know what my second one will be yet. Still on the fence trying to make up my mind. I would like to support the two manufactures and go buy the can am. I really want a cam am. It looks good but is it a good SXS?
Hopefully I will make a decision soon. Just gotta see how its doing out there. Hopefully someone on this forum will chime in on info on these. |

| This is the comments from a guy I know that has a Rhino right now. Both him and another RZR rider that had a deposites down on a Commander. Her is his thoughts.
Well WVRIDER and I went to Charleston today and test drove the 1000 XT. Tim had drove one already but it was detuned for the event at snowshoe. Just looking it over, some things i loved, somethings i hated. Plenty of storage, seats were awsome. Ergonomics was nice. On the down side it only had 10 inches ground clearance empty and 58 inches wide with no long arm suspension. On the test drive we were both impressed with the power. Awsome acceleration and speed. I easily hit 60 mph in a very short distance. Ride was not good, rode rough, tires bouncing all over the place, hard to steer and control. Needs a serious suspension upgrade. Fit and finish was not good. It was new and had several creaks and rattles. For the type of riding we do I don't see it following the RZR S to well. Agree it would kick ass in a level drag race. But put it up some rocky trail and i don't see it going. If I were buying something today I would pass on this ride. My Rhino rides better, has more ground clearance; even with less power. I would keep the Rhino over the CamAm. Very disappointed with our test drive. We both passed on the deposit.

| Yeah I been reading mixed reviews too. Stupid me, I just had to come home and look at my baby. :D I won't be getting one this year. But within the next 2 years I will probably be ready for a new ride, and I will see how both have evolved in that time. | |

| I bought my Rhino 700 Sport in 08 and was hoping to buy a Can Am when they came out. Well they had a test ride and I went and drove it and it was fast stopped nice but was way to much plastic to get busted and ripped off and was very heavy steering and felt like I was driving a van it was so huge. I ride very fast and love the hard trails and the body needs protecting like the rhino has or be tucked inside like the RZR. The hood just felt like it went on forever when setting in seat. When coming over a steep hump in the trail I don't think you could ever see where you were going till it was to late. Reminded me of when I had the half windsheild on the rhino and it was covered in mud and I could not see out it and had to lean forward to see what I was coming up to. That gets real old fast and thats the way it would be all the time with the Can Am I could just clean or take off the windsheild on the rhino. Have a RZR and a Commander side by side and take a look and tell me the RZR wouldn't be more fun and capable on the trail. Thats what really stopped me from buying one. Still thought about buying one till I saw it setting next to a RZR and knew there was no way even if it had 500HP it could keep up with the RZR on the trail and the S's long travel only sweetin's the deal with the RZR. Waited 2 years for the Can Am and when it was in front of me I still got a RZR and I'm not a big fan of Polaris so that says something. Thats my book!! | |

| Well, I got to set in one at the wv state fair. They were giving demo rides there. I didn't ride one, but from looking at one and setting in it here are my thoughts. The seats are very well shaped but have almost no padding at all. It had alot of plastic body panels that stuck out past the tires, that would likely be tore up my 1st trip out. Storage was great, and it was a good looking machine, but after watching people go around the test trail with very slight bumps, I knew there was no point in standing in line to take the test drive. Slightest bump and they were getting beat to death. I'm sure they have tons of power, but there is no way I would trade my RZR S for one. It needs more suspension travel, maybe even more than the rzr s due to the weight. The tires need to stick out past all that fancy plastic so it don't get tore up, and those seats need to be softer. Then it would be tough to beat. | |

| Yeah thanks for the first hand reports fellas. My rzr is so nimble and trail capable that I have yet to fail to accomplish a goal. In the commander, I am afraid I would be more worried about ripping off all that plastic. I am sure it has it's pluses, but none that would make me give up the rzr in favor of it. | |
