The ride times
Friday 10:00am Saturday 9:00am Sunday 9:00am
We will leave on time everyday and no one will be sent around the campground looking for anyone that is not ready and lined up at the start times listed so be ready & on time as we will not let 1 or 2 people hold up 60 + Side X Sides. If a Side X Side has a mechanical problem and it can't be fixed in a quick manner the ride will continue and we will have 2 people to help out the broken SXS and get it to a place where it can be recovered by a truck & trailer. We will stop for breaks and once the last SXS comes to a stop we will have 15 minutes for break.Once the 15 minutes is up you will hear an air horn and we will roll in 2 minutes from the sound of the horn.We will stop for a 30 minute lunch break on the trail so bring anything you will need to eat and drink.I would suggest save your drinking for back at camp in the evening as you will have all evening to do your drinking and we won't be stopping enough for people to be pissing every 10 minutes...lol If you must drink do it in moderation so you won't be ruining someone Else's day or experience.Keep in mind we have people driving a long ways to ride and ride is what we will do.We need everyone to keep up with the person in front of you and we need each person to be 100% sure the person riding behind them knows which way to go at any & every fork or intersection in the trail. We need everyone to try and avoid from playing and holding up the group by that I mean don't go off into a big mud hole or start hill climbing on your own and end up being stuck etc and holding up the group. If we have time once we get our ride in and we are heading back to camp we can make time for playing if time allows it.I would like to see us get in a minimum of 50 miles each day so to do that it takes everyone's help by doing what I just talked about.I hope no one has a problem with this plan but I think it's fair and it will ensure that everyone gets in some good riding. If anyone has any ideas that would be better or any suggestions let's hear them.
Each day everyone must be lined up at the Stop sign leaving the campground and ready to roll at 10:00am on Friday and 9:00am on Sat & Sunday and if you have been to these rides before you know we roll on time so I would suggest being lined early in case anyone has some questions and we can space the SXS with radios evenly through the pack. The plan will be to be back at camp between 5:00pm & 6:00pm so everyone can get their machines ready for the next days ride and clean up and eat and then socialize around the community campfire at site O.F 1 .If you don't have a rear view mirror I would get one as you must never leave the person behind you at any intersection or fork on the trail.
I want to make it clear that we can't wait long for any mechanical problems at all and hold up over 60 machines for 1 SXS that is having problems as I don't think it's fair or needed to hold up the group for a problem here and there and that includes my RZR too I'm not exempt I don't want to hold up the group either if I have a problem I will say someone else take over and ride on.
Anyone's machine can have a problem regardless of make so what happens happens but we can't stop the ride for overheating issues, broken belts, tie rods, ball joints etc etc.The only thing we can afford to wait on is to plug a tire as quickly as possible and keep the group rolling to get a good days ride in and make it worth the members time & money that are driving a long ways.
I hope everyone understands this as I think it's the only fair way to handle problems.
We need some volunteers each day like we had at the Fall ride to stay with the member and help them get their SXS back to camp or if you can get it going in a timely manner you can catch up at the next break stop so we need people that have some knowledge of the area.
If we can count on you to help a fellow member get back to camp due to a mechanical problem we need to know so we can have a list so we know who to call on if needed.

| Ok looks like we will be going for Fri & Sat. Found a place to saty at Rider Paradise. Will be myself & wifey in the RZR and the kids will be in the Rhino. We know absolutley nothing about the area so we need some info. If I understand the plan the group ride will be leaving from Ashland each day. This brings up a couple of questions about logistics. I am towing a 30' enclosed trailer for the SXSs. How far is Rider Paradise from Ashland? Is there room for me to park the trialer at Ashland or close by where the ride starts? or leave the trailer at Rider Paradise and drive the SXSs to the start? |

I would leave the trailer at Riders Pardise. Its just down the street practically. Also dont forget at night to come by Ashland and meet all the members at the Community campfire. Bubba will be there. He is the head of our Member Relations! |

| Well dont act like your crazy riding in the other lane but yea they dont care. They know we support their economy and if they ban us from the road it will kill that area. Plus police is kinda scarce around there in my opinion but then again the last two times I was going from pinnacle creek to Ashland and flew by a trooper. I waved at him and he waved back as we both kept on our own business. If your crossing the line and doing crazy darting then you may get stopped but if you act like a normal car then your ok. Nobody will say a thing. Heck last time I was there I was racing people on the gravel roads! |

| Just some reminders so everyone is on the same page as it looks like we may have close to 70 Side X Sides for this ride at least 1 or 2 of the days.
Everyone needs a rear view mirror and everyone needs to do their best to keep the machine in front of them in sight at all times.
And the biggest thing is to always watch for the rider directly behind you and wait for them if needed at every turn we make so they know which way to go before you take off.If everyone does this the ride will go smoothly and we won't be wasting time having to send someone back to find some that don't know which way to go because the person in front of them left them.I can only be responsible for the person behind me as I can't see but so far behind me on alot of trails. Please everyone do your part and think about the person behind you at all times.
This should not happen but if you come up to a fork in the trail and the person in front of you has not waited on you then just stop right there and don't guess which way we went unless the trail is wet and you can see the tire tracks which way they went.If you get left it's your fault to for not keeping up with the person in front of you but more of the blame goes to the person that didn't wait for you.
We will not be riding fast so there should be no reason that anyone can't keep up with the machine if front of them just pay attention. We also will not be riding a snails pace either it will be a moderate pace that will be safe.
If you have friends or family coming and driving a SXS and don't get on here to read this info please go over it with them so they have a clue what to do.

| cms416, I will have the Joker in good old southern Indiana in a week or so. I will be in Daviess County, where you can ride on the county roads. It is kinda cool to ride around in the Amish area. Where are you located???? I might go to the Lynville area as I have never rode there, although back in the day, I used to show quarter horses just east of town. | |

| I just spoke to Rhinorider (Rick). He will be going in for shoulder surgery before the Spring Ride. He has a Cabin AC2 reserved that he will need to cancel. His PC has crashed also. I told him to give the site members first shot on the cabin before he calls Ashland and cancels his reservation....... So anyone needing a cabin let Bobby or me know and we can pm his phone number or something...... | |

- I just spoke to Rhinorider (Rick).
I've been in touch with Rick a lot lately for we have his dual sport bike ( FS 2005 Suzuki DL 1000 V-Strom ) on consignment sale @ World Class Power Sports in High Point NC. I knew he was having problems with his shoulder & had been working with a therapist on it. Sounds like that didn't pan out for him. He has a really nice bike & I'm sure he could use the $$$$ now that he'll be out of work a while . Let's all put the word out & tell all your biker buddies about Rick's bike so he can get it sold. See his ad in the classified section of this forum posted back on May4, 2010. He needs app. $5800.00 for it but may take less from any of you guys. I will help with transporting it if somebody from out of state buys it.
