A sad day for West Virginia indeed. Makes me want to cry I'm so angry!

I learned this morning that the Westboro Baptist Church is coming to town Sat to protest at the funeral of a local boy that gave his life in the Afghan War while serving in the U.S. Army! Living in small town America you don't ever think that this sort of shit will come to our little corner of the world. This family has (to me anyhow) every right under the sun to morn this loss in privacy and peace. I've talked to the Police Dept and they were of little to no help what so ever. It's makin me sick to think these puke's are coming here and doing this. And I don't know what to do about it without going to jail over it.

See if the Freedom Riders have a chapter near you, they will ride their motorcycles in and provide a escort for the trip to the cementary and will do their best to keep those [email=A@@Holes]A@@Holes[/email] pushed back as far as the law will let them.

This is terrible.Not that the family doesnt have enough to worry about.It is so heart breaking to hear of this kind of news and then to learn that cold hearted folks are out to only make it worse.I pray that God brings this family peace and comfort in such a devastating time.God Bless this family and for all who knew this hero.

Hey..tell you freinds or you can look up the patriot guard riders and one of the first things they talk about is this church and what they do to stop them. What ever your freinds do....do not touch these idiots! that is how they fund the church is through lawsuits. They have to stay a certain distance from the family, so form a line to sheild them. Rev your engines so you can't hear them. Look some stuff up.

They have actually been taken to the supreme court two or three weeks ago and the court is going to rule by Dec 7th whether they can keep their "free speech" rights at funerals. Unfortunatley until then, they can do what ever they want

It's only a matter of time. They will show up at the right place at the right time, and someone will put them in their place. The whole deal they got going is a ticking time bomb. They call themselves a church, but I bet on judgement day, they will have hell to pay for what they do.

FREAKS! I think the best thing to do would be show up and make fun of them, and try to piss them off as much as possible. They want to see people mad, crying, and threatening them. So, I think pointing and laughing at them would be alot of fun, and would piss them off pretty good.

I could easily envision everyone that is a member of this site trailering their sidexsides to the funeral and creating a wall with our trucks,trailers that prevent them from even being able to see the services. I would go in a heartbeat without even unloading. This kind of shit pisses me to no end. I'm a veteran myself and would enjoy a chance to meet with them. These soldiers die for us everyday and i wouldn't hesitate for 1 second to go to jail for just one of them. I would be honored.

Saw these assholes on tv doing this to another soliders family, the cops should be ashamed for not arresting each and every one of them for disturbing the peace.

I agree.. contact the freedom riders and maybe you guys can take your sxs"s and use them to make a barrier around the church? Freedom to get their ass whipped is what should happen to those idoits.

They do need their asses kicked, but they want people to do something to them. They have a huge track record of lawsuits against anyone who ever touched them. I hate how they hold up the signs that says god hates USA and all that shit. They should be kicked out of the country, and never allowed to come back.

I feel your pain but the police have sworn to uphold the laws even if they or we disagree with them. Currently the churches rights to protest, although hugely unpopular, is legal.

Police unfortunately cant arrest the protestors.
I would assume the "protestors' are trained to stay within the current law.
How they could sleep at night is beyond me.

We live beside the largest Marine Corps Air Base in the United States and I'd like to see them try something like that here. It would never go over. I am appalled that a church would do such a thing. Let those poor folks grieve thier soldier loved one in peace after all they are fighting for our freedom and rights.

That group tried to protest here locally today.

That church got approval on a corner to protest. People found out and beat them to that corner. People filled that area with themselves and American Flags. The protestors saw all the people there waiting for them so they took off and never did interfere with the funeral.

That was so awesome that all those people stood strong and ran off those church members!

Saw what TBONE mentioned on the news this morning. Don't know the timing, but I'm close by. If the locals get something going to restrain access to the funeral, I'm in.
