Wood gas truck

I had a chance to meet a fella that made a truck like this , it is very neat in the way it works . As things decay they produce a gas ( just as we get natural gas ) , and can make the substate release its gas by heating it . What this fella told me and this Video shows is it was developed in Germany during WWI as a alternate fuel ..... It just made me think that it is really cool all the ideas that have been develped and passed by for the ease of putting Gas in the tank . Hope you see just how cool this is as there is fuel eveywhere free for the taking , your yard alone has months if not years of fuel ...... He did mention wood works the best but anything that is in a state of Decay produces the gas , but wood is the longest lasting due to it density .

Very wild in person , its loud but not like a open exhaust , just a high pressure sound and smells like a diesel in the rain ( if you know that smell ) . The fella I met used a 454 Chevy truck , he said that the larger the CC the better it ran and better the power , it is probably close to a non turbo diesel in power .
