| There is not many miles of trails that you Can't ride of the H/M trails except the black trails pretty much which is a small portion of the trails they have and I'm sure it will change since SXS are still a growing market and more and more people are choosing a sxs over a atv.Another thing that makes this site great you can always hook up with some of us that know hundreds & hundreds of miles of trails with out getting on the H/M trails or ride both.

| They are not allowed on the "extreme trails" and only a few of the black trails. | |

| It use to be no sxs on anything but green & blue HM trails. Last year they changed it so sxs can now ride on black trails & only have a few extreme ( marked black/red ) that sxs can't ride on. Still don't understand why for I've hit them all on the rzr with no problems @ all . | |

| I would rather hit the hardcore stuff in a sxs than on a atv any day. I think they were just holding back because of the Rhino rollover lawsuits. | |

| ok thanks guys, i dont really want to start riding there trails anyway it just seems that every year they are buying up more and more of the good trails. and if it continues it will probably only be a matter of time till i get a permit and bobby, the wife and i are planning to try and make the fall ride this year. as soon as i here when it will be. I have entirely too much going on in the month of april this year to try to go to the spring ride | |

| So the way i am readign this I am no longer limited to the Green and Blue trails? I thought they still hadent opened up the blacks yet? We are coming out in July for teh first time and I was afraid all my cousins would be wanting to ride teh blacks and leave me behind or be mad at me for riding a Ranger but if i can ride the blacks as well then I dont need to wory abought it. | |

| If you check the legend on each trail map, it will tell you which black trails you can ride. Extreme blacks are off limits to sxs. I have riden the trails since 2003 and over time, they have removed alot of the dangerous stuff. But even so, there are still challenging stuff to hit. Rockhouse is the largest and most popular. My choices are Rockhouse #1, Bearwallow #2, Waterways #3, and Buffalo Mountain #4. I haven't riden Indian Ridge and Pinnicle so i cannot comment on them. | |

| I have seen some black trails I don't want to do on a atv or a SXS .Danger is not my type of fun I have not ridden the H/M trails in a while so I don't know for sure but I'm sure you can ride some Blacks but I would not let the H/M signs saying no SXS stop me if I want to ride a trail.I have been on about all of the H/M trails in Pineville & Ashland before they were H/M trails. If you did run into a H/M Ranger it would be just bad timing as they have to many miles of trails to keep an eye on to much. | |

| Don't forget the new Mercer County H/M Pocahontas trail system is suppose to be ready in April and I know I have already rode some of it over the years so with 3 trail systems to ride all from the Wagon Wheel area it will be bringing in more and more people to ride.I think H/M is saying there will be 250 miles of trails all connected from those 3 systems and then you have a lot more than that of unmarked FREE trails to ride so it will be a hot destination for a lot of folks. | |

| I pulled this from HM's website.
Every intersection will be labeled with a sticker approving or disapproving each trail. This sign will have a UTV with a line through it and state NO SIDE-BY-SIDE/UTVs ALLOWED. Violators subject to $100.00 fine and impoundment of machine. | |

| We are staying at Ashland Resort In late July and will be riding what ever is accesible from there. We are not aposed to heading to a diferent area to ride a day or two if it is worht it. The three systems and outlaw trails conected to it should provide more than enough to keep us busy for a week though. | |
