| What is the average range of an RZR on a tank of fuel? Im heading to WV at the end of the month and was wondering if I need to carry extra fuel with me or not? I do most of my riding on a 250 acre farm and have never checked to see how far you can go on a tank of fuel. | |

| About 80 miles if you make sure to fill it up all the way. It is always smart to carry some with you. You never know what you will get into... | |

| Thanks Kevin, I bought the Polaris Fuel can holder, but have been using it for a cooler instead. I see in your picture you have a fuel can in the holder. What size can is that and what brand? I am having trouble finding one that fits the holder. | |

It's just a 2 1/2 gallonfrom Wal-mart.....It fits in the lock-nride holder fine..Just use some bungies to hold down.....The new nozzles on them are crap......I carry a funnel in the box........

| I carry extra, and I usually need it. I get somewhere between 60 and 80 miles per tank depending on how much I mat it, and how much I use 4wd. My S seems to be a good bit harder on gas than a regular rzr. I wish it had a bigger tank. | |

I can punch a hole in it so it will take more gas if you want me to, Bubba....

Yeah, my S get worst gas mileage than the LE I had. Wished it did have a bigger tank! The 2011 S gets a lot better mileage.

| on the 80 miles I ran mine out many times just to see how far it would go and at the time I was running 27" tires and I always set my trip to zero and my trip would have 74.6 miles when it ran out but by a GPS that is around 80 miles because I was not running stock 25" tires. Now if you are running in 4x4 a lot in deep snow etc it will use more.I would just make sure you carry extra gas in case you plan to go over 60+ miles to be safe. The S models with the H.O. motor may use more I would guess. | |
