| A friend of mine who is a member here just bought a 08 RZR,they checked the oil, rode for 2 days and the engine started knocking bad, checked oil & it was bad low.Took it to a shop recommended by a friend & they say its going to be $2600 to basically replace everything in engine.Appreciate any suggestions. | |

| Check with Carolina polaris ( sponser on the site ) as you get a discount on services and parts ( which might help that cost some ) . You might also want to check with JBS in WVA , he is also a sponser on the site and does work on SXS machines . | |

| Put an after market filter on it after it is fixed. Or make sure the boot going to the throttle body is always clamped tight. See this, http://www.rzrforums.net/general-rzr-discussion/3748-rzr-intake-bbb.html | |
