| Ok....When you get some time, Break the tire down, get a 1/2" bolt, make a flat washer about 7/8" across with a half inch hole in the middle, cut some soft rubber or an old inner tube for both sides of both washers, cover with silastic and put it through the hole, tighten up, let sit 24 hours. GOOD TO GO> | |

| Here's a good one from a few years back on my Grizzly: Neuromax and I spent a lot of time getting her to hold air again. It was nasty gash. We started with about 10 plugs I think but ended up with 30! Thank goodness Neuromax had so many plugs in his bag. I carry about 40 plugs in my bag now....lol. Needless to say, I bought a new tire after that ride (6 ply Interco Vampire) but it is still hanging on the wall of shame in my garage. | |

| Yeah we have had to do some stuff like that. I think I have 40 or so in my bag plus what others have. Do you guys use super glue as well? I have a friend that has a can am renegage (sp?) and he has put tubes in his tires due to all the side wall holes we have had to fix. He is going with us this weekend and if he makes it one day I will me impresseted. I just don't see tubes doing it. Way to keep the fun going guys!! :149: | |

| I don't use superglue but I do use the rubber cement that you can buy with the plugs.
As for the tubes in the tires, it will help some but they will pop too. If it were me on a Renegade I wouldn't trust a tube or plugs in a tire especially the side wall. Those machines are made to be ridden hard and fast and I wouldn't want to risk a blow out while taking a hard corner at high speed. :152: | |

| Similar to Clayboy's. My tire continued to leak slime -- I think it needed a couple more plugs. I changed to Big Horns/Beadlocks and alot lower air pressure after the cut in my XTR's. It was just a reason since I wanted the Beadlocks anyway due to popping the bead several times with the XTR's. And this one is on my Can-am the month before. I hate tires. I have punctured 5 sidewalls in a year. Hopefully the bighorns will slow that down. | |

| Nah, those wont blow, just turn the knobs on each end and deflate them a little Most of those were pinches from not running enough air pressure, air up them tires and that wont happen. On ruvs you should not run under 12psi on 14'' or 9psi on a 12''. |

| Actually the XTR was cut by a rock on the trail between Tiny's and HM 23. The tire hit the rock and something had to give and it was the sidewall. The XTR was at 10 psi. Lower PSI would have likely stopped the cut since the sidewall could give. On the Can-am tire I was wedged between a bunch of rocks on a tight uphill and when I tried to turn it cut that sidewall. That one really suk'd since I was 35+ miles from my trailer and it took approx 1/2 hour and 3 stops to plug successfully. On both the bead cuts are where the tire gets pinched when run flat for a few hundred feet. It takes my that long to realize I have a flat. I guess a need a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sytem)... LOL | |
