| here is the story behind the crash!! me,jerry, and my buddy TJ went on a night ride on tuesday night after 2 days of rain. we was hitting the black trails at the local ride area and we was going up this steep hill that had some trees that was a tight fit for us. treed on the left and steep drop off on the right. we got jerrys rhino buy the trees then i went had a little trouble with one tree but made it up ok. and sence the rzr has no park brake i stopped the rzr with the back tire in a rut and let off the brake to see if it would roll back and it did't. so i shoved it up in park." now remember the rzr is still at about a 50 degree angle. and its 2am" i get out and start walking down the hill to help TJ make it up and i get about 5ft from the rzr then it all most runs over i grab the cage and try to stop it but i was just sliding in all the mud and the rzr was just to much for me to stop then it went over the steep hill to the left backwards and went down about 30ft and some how a big vine the size of my arm got wrapped around the bed and spun it around and the front drivers side hit a tree and the tree was stuck between the tire and the roll cage. i had the cut the vine and the tree to get it out. and when i cut the tree it almost rolled on top of me but it was hung on the tree. i cut the tree almost all the way into then TJ pulled it down slowly so to keep the rzr from rolling as i slid the front of the RZR down the hill because there was no way i was going to be able to make it back up to where i was. i just had to make me a trail back down the hill to where the trail had started pushing over trees. the rzr never rolled. i guess the vine keep it from rolling. i just know that im lucky that is all the damage that was done. it could have been a LOT worse!!! i am going to try and go back sat and get some pics of where it happend. |
